I have to improve processing of the .ifo files. Currently I process what the user selected in the FileBrowser dialog. So just select (checkbox) the .ifo file that u want to be processed and let the others unchecked.

In the future this should be somehow handled different. On the other hand... the video_ts.ifo is NOT the right one to choose if u want accurate mediainfo in the sheet (codecs, resolutions) ... u will get the one for the menu (that is video_ts.ifo)... for correct mediainfo should be selected another .ifo. I have to think about improving this area (same for bluray structures).

PS: I also process now .iso files (that have a DVD structure inside) and there I choose by default the first .ifo that is not video_ts.ifo (for mediainfo).

it contains a set of templates named as their target scope:

STD - the complete screen is used (this is what u need I guess) 1280x720
SHEET - the wdtv unit is displaying a set of thumbnails at the bottom of the screen and the template is aware of that by keeping info on top (u will see some "empty"area down); they are 1280x720 or 1280x459
WALL - same as SHEET but the thumbnails are displayed on the left side of the screen

Conclusion: You'll be happy using the STD templates.

PS: If you saved already metadata (.tgmd) files just unzip the megapack in the Templates subfolder then go and select your movies folder and choose "Create sheets from metadata"... it will automatically convert all your existing sheets using the new template

it really is a nice and easy way of making jpg`s for the pohd,

no i hope the play button will work again in the next firmware release as it does not now,
(well it does in the video tab but play`s the movie a fraction of a second then stops).
but i`m certain they will fix it.

but in r3643 it does work

and also in r3875 i was able to get the screenshot i posted.

As a hint: I see u choose to "Do Not Autopopulate Fanart by default"... that's not so good... most of the templates support fanart images (up to 3). If u let the option unchecked then I download 3 of them for you (and they are also stored in metadata for later use).

Fanart is any backdrop image that is not the background.

And another hint: do not select in the same time TheTVDB.com and other "normal" movies collectors. Ideally u will process TVShows separately (I provide a profile for that) from main movies (the collectors having movies normally have no series so u can save a lot of search time if u exclude thetvdb.com when not needed).

I have no idea about what u are speaking (I don't have a PlayOn device ) but good u got TG working

But unfortunately your metadata is NOT containing fanarts The template you show here supports 2 fanart images... It still looks good but I strongly encourage letting both "Do not autopopulate background/fanart" UNCHECKED for maximum satisfaction (You have to reprocess movies in order to get new metadata).

PS: The metadata (.tgmd) file is a zip archive that contains poster(cover)/info/mediainfo/background/fanart1-3. I don't recommend to manually change either .tgmd or a .tgp (profile) file.

Oops... you got me ... the provided TVShows profile is done for the wdtv I think.

You just need to expand the profiles toolbar (having your <default> profile selected) and choose "Save as..." then put some "TVShows POHD" filename there and you are switched to a new profile that reuses all your old settings. Now uncheck all providers and check ONLY TheTVDB.com (including the two radiobuttons - one to make it preferred cover collector and the other one to make it the preferred info collector).

I will update first post with a default profile for TV Shows for POHD too...


Ah, and you used for Avatar the SHEET mode template... and that is wrong... u got an unused area in the lower part... try the STD template
