Since yesterday I am the proud owner of the Play!On DVR-TV-1TB.
All seems to work well, except ....

I have a NAS in my network. Although the PlayOn sees the NAS and its shared directories, it cannot access those directories.
When I try to browse to a NAS directory (//OPSLAG/Music) the Playon gives a Login error. I can browse to //OPSLAG and I get to see the directories, however, I cannot browse into the directories.

I suspect it has to do with the network groupname (in my case "DES". As I cannot enter the groupname "DES" into the Playon network settings, I don't know what to do.
I think (I'm NOT sure!) that when another PC (playonDVR) which is not part of the DES group, my NAS does noet grant access.
Am I correct in this assumption?
And, how to gain access from PlayOn to my NAS!
(btw, all my music, and photo files are on the NAS)

My NAS is a simple external harddisk with NAS function. Type: Freecom network drive, 500gb. Formatted as FAT32.

I have the same problem. I have a nas attached to my router. I can access all folders from my desktop PC and my notebook. The playon recognizes the nas and can see all folder but whenever I try to open a folder I get an error: login incorrect.
I have not set a password for my nas.
Pleease help

I had the exact same problem, but with a Playon Mini. It turns out that the Mini was fine, and that the NAS firmware needed to be updated.

I would suggest that the DVR is fine, and that the NAS needs changing, possibly a new updated firmware.
