Post Re: [BETA] firmware version r3615 for POHD Standard
Last week, I send a message about the pink/green problem to the ACRyan Technical Support Team (explaining my "solution") and they answer me by mail, with these words :

"The issue you have is now going to be resolve by the latest official firmware which is going to be lunch soon."

I hope it is true ;-)

For me, Since I use the HDMI setup for stereo divx via TV and the SPDIF RAW for DVD, mkv in dolby or DTS 5.1, everything works fine with this beta firmware, and the left/right jump in time bar is very very usefull I found.

Strange thing happens to me when using the 'slow' button and then 'ok' when i want to watch a movie:

Right after i boot the POHD, and i use the 'slow' button, it zooms the jpg full screen, then when i press the 'ok' button, it shows the green stop icon and for a fraction of a second the pointy finger, and than returns to the browser menu.

But when i start a movie the normal way, and later try a different movie with the 'slow' and 'ok' function again, it only starts the movie i watched before in the normal way.

(btw. every movie has its own folder)

what happens if you use the play button instead of the ok button?

and of-course this function is not confirmed to be in the FW.

someone found out about the slow button and i stumbled uppon the ok cq play button function.

that it always works or should work is not confirmed nor is it that it was as an extra
implemented. ;)

maybe you also have preview on and shutting that off helps.
or somehow the drive was not yet ready

i had the dvd`s that where not playing or started not even when putting the folder.jpg
in the "video_ts" folder, but the next day it did work

;)

Try disabling auto text encoding under Setup || System.

That module from Realtek isn't working properly and has been reported to Realtek already.

It seems all the bugs are ecalated to Realtek (Subs, Menu alignment, etc), but we don't get any feedback about the status of those escalations.

The silence about solving the bugs is deafening.

Is there any ETA for a stable official release.

TifKag,

I can't help it but only to say we have to wait on their replies. Anyway, I don't communicate directly with them, E is the portal anyway and it happens that he currently away at the production line...

Might need to wait till he's back to get a ETA on the stable release [Official]...

right Drenab,
personally i hope it stays ;)

great that turning off the preview worked did think of it as i never use it,
i don`t like it when content is started when i don`t want it to.

slows thing`s down unnecessary.

A Small follow-up on this matter:

It appears that the tab i'm on makes the difference.
If the option ‘movie preview’ is turned on, and I try this slow/ok function, while I have selected the tab 'Films', than this strange thing happens, but when I select the tab 'All' it works fine.

So I can use this (unconfirmed) option with movie preview on, but have to select the tab 'All' and not tab 'Films'.

(Btw, if I have movie preview ‘off’, the jpg does not show on folders when tab ‘Films’ is selected, again use tab ‘All’)

So far this firmware works fine for me, the one thing I had to change was the huge srt size.
I also like the new left/right button search feature(but the time/numbers need to be bigger)
