when you disable the wmm,
just go to setup in your pohd,
go to network select wireless,
then when you select connection 1 do not press ok,
but press the play button,

now the connection should be re-established.

and best is to use static adresses,
also make all three the connections the same.

;)

This did not help. I was able to get an ip adress, but nothing shows up in the network.
After i reboot the POHD, the wireless setup says: DHCP Not ready and in the top left of the screen i get this 'not allowed' sign. The pointing finger sign. :dremel:

i`ll best start a new topic for your problem where we can elaborate on this issue instead of
going to much off topic here ;)

i will merge your and mine last posts there.

first one more thing i forgot to mention with my 320N
i had to take off the power and put it back on in order to see the dongle again
after i switched off the wmm-support under the QoS tab in the setup of the router.

see this post for my settings,
i included pictures there.

I don't know if this bug is already know but i discovered that when the movie preview starts and you press the Home button you're review will keep on running. even when you're looking at the Setup-Menu, but all the other menu's will stop the preview from playing.
Or do you think its not a bug but a feature :D
It is kind of nice to have some sound on the background when you're looking at the Setup.

#2: I've got the language set to dutch but there some places where the text is to long, and if you look at the Home-Menu The "File Copy" picture still says File Copy and the dutch text says "estand kopiër", and it's the same with Setup. (But this isn't really a big deal just a bit ugly).

Questions
Are you going to do something special with picture how has the name "folder".jpg/.gif/.png.
Because in windows when you give a picture that name it becomes immediately the picture for that folder.

And is there a planing for further improving the subtitles so that you can have special fonts (like they use in anime series :geek: )

Hey Dirk, it is playing now much longer without problems. It was playing for 1 1/2 hour now, but now it stopped again. So there is some improvement, but not 100%. I still believe it is a timeout issue

2 more things i noticed with this FW

1) In r2901 it didn't ask me if i want to resume a movie, when it was a movie that hasn't been watched before.
in r3615 it always asks me if i want to resume, even when it's a movie that hasn't been watched before.

2) Because the "menu" button is now used for the "Simple menu for controlling Audio, Subtitle, Title and Chapter when playing a video" you can't use it to go back to the DVD menu anymore (like it was used for in r2901)

Can someone elaborate on these bugs/features.

Can you try to set the audio to hdmi instead of spdif and see if the problem still excists ?

I read somewhere the spdif was causing the problem

Want to be sure if thats the case ?

If this works please report it here so we can report it to the dev team.

Yes, changing the audio setting to hdmi works.

The solutions teeace suggested also works (first change to HDMI, leave the settings menu, then change the audio setting back to spdif raw.

Menu's in a BD-ISO or BD-Rip (BluRay) are not working.
Does anyone knows a work-around or has a solution?

2 More things I noticed:

-When pressing Exit while playing a movie the POHD returns to the top browsing-item of the menu, i.e. Card or USB when plugged in; shouldn't it go to the last used menu item of the browser, e.g. HDD or Network? Or maybe not, and maybe this has been the case all along, I'm not sure.
-Transfer speed over network (SMB) to attached USB drive is awfully low; in my case I get a steady transfer rate of 4,75 MB/s transferring to the HDD, to the USB drive (after the necessary restart of SMB) it drops quite quickly to 0.9 MB/s or thereabouts. Or is this dependant on which kind of USB drive (and it's format perhabs?) is being used....

And something else, I am mighty curious about the external subtitles (and let me say it again: to me they look fine now, finally, many thanks, but): what changed?

[Edit: when I say the subs look fine I'm referring to their visibility; but there are some new (imho minor!) issues with their outlining etc.]

This has been mentioned in the 3643 thread. As this problem has been around for some time now and makes the POHD far from family friendly if you want to use it in SPDIF mode I have asked if someone from AC Ryan will confirm that it is under active consideration. So far their silence is deafening!
