I have an update on the wireless network performance: After about a minute, the connection is lost and PlayOn freezes for a while. After this, cannot get connected to shares on my PC. Note: Sitting next to 300N router(WRT320N). In network setup, still see the IP adres assigned to PlayOn. Even when i do a powercycle of the PlayOn, connection is not directly restored. It takes minutes before my 'workgroup' shows up again. Just tested playback of an MP3, encoded at 192 kbps.Network throughput around 200kbps. Looks good. After 7 minutes, connection is lost again !. Another test had a broken connection even after 2 minutes ! So i cannot even listen to simple MP3's. This really s. ..s. Found that a reboot is not really necessary: Unplugging and plugging back the Wi-Fi dongle (AC Ryan's) brings back the connection. I mentioned problems with the WIFI connection several times, but never got a reaction from the DEV Team that they will investigate this problem. The connection over WIFI with the original dongle is not stable. I have this problem always when I listen to internet radio. It looks like a time out issue. Please AC Ryan take a look at it to try to improve it. is it related to my thread? viewtopic.php?f=42&t=5117&start=0found that once WMM and WPS are disabled on the wireless router, the connection has been very stable for me

Hi Mohawks, I don't know but I will give it a try. I have WPS disabled. The WMM QoS is still ON in my router, because in the info of the router it says that if you stream multimedia content this option should be ON.

Hi there My friend it is only if it is supported by the wifi device which probably is not, cause when i turn that option on in my linksys WRT320N, my connection is no longer stable, and yes i have made all the connections the same also. the wps i don`t use but it is not possible to disable it, so probably it is still on, or it is disabled if you use the manual setup.

Hi Dirk, I have switched them off both. See what is happening. Hope this will do the trick for me.

When you do it like that, the menu button, and chapter keys don't work . So pressing the menu button does not bring up the Audio, subtitle, chapter menu on the top of the screen anymore. When you just enter the folder and choose the VIDEO_TS.IFO and press enter, everything works fine.

(it will be the r3612 for the mini) i do hope someone would test the dvd structure (with a "VIDEO_TS" folder in r3615 as i am not using that FW anymore because i`m testing the yamj a lot). .iso files will probably work as well. oh and one more thing instead of pressing the "ok" button the "Play" button also works.

When you place the video files and the cover file in one folder like this \\moviename\video files. (in other words, get rid of the VIDEO_TS folder), the cover will show, and the movie will play, but the menu button will not work.

Hi Dirk. I also have the WRT320N, but when i disable WMM, the wireless connection does not get an IP adress anymore. I can see it disappearing whilst in network setup mode. Also tried static IP adress, but no connection. At this moment i am not able to see ANY network on my PlayOn. I am out of ideas on how to solve this, besides returning the dongle. Maybe the dongle is faulty, since it never really worked as it should. It has some functionality, since it does get an IP adress assigned and was able to stream content for a few minutes. My brother has a PlayOn mini with the dongle and connects through a 54g router. He is simply able to connect to his shares and play X264 files over the wireless connection, without the connection ever being dropped.
