Re: [BETA] firmware version r3612 with YAMJ & Trial BT
Yep, Mozi might have a point, but would have still thought it would be possible to map a NAS in the Library.xml file. From what I have seen on other forums getting the Library file right can be quite tricky (hence the very useful GUI's) but am determined to get this bloody thing working!!!!! I was thinking of trying to use one of the older GUI's to see if I can use it to help with the mapping (the current ACR one automatically gives a path which I am guessing is for an internal / USB drive) - Omertron, I think you are definitely the main man on this - is it possible to amend the Library.xml file to ensure the paths are ok and since I am having no luck with this do you think it would be better to use one of your other GUI's to map it??? Thanks Oh, and Omertron, think you need to work on your marketing if you are decribing Yamj as "just the easy bit"

Re: [BETA] firmware version r3612 with YAMJ & Trial BT
Hello after some reading and experiments with YAMJ I must say it works great for now!!
The Firmware update with Yamj works very stable so I am glad with the development!
When ther is already a jukebox library after the first scan the scantime when you have add a new movie is very quick so no problems for me!
But..... Is it already possible to change the skin of the jukebox? I have the YAMJ installed on my computer so the playon connects over the network to the jukebox folder. When I change the skin from default to for example the glassskin (very nice) and I change the values nescecary in the jukebox.properties file all works on the computer. I see the html and when I scan the jukebox folder all is okay.
The playon however does not see anything? until I change back to the default skin! Maybe it is not possible yet??
Further on keep on the good work!!!
many Thanks

Re: [BETA] firmware version r3612 with YAMJ & Trial BT
ok for the yamj part in this firmware; i tested a folder on a external drive filled with movies and scanned by yamj to make a index and a jukebox folder, did this also on a folder i share from my pc, and also on the big brother i did it on the internal drive as well. in both r3643 for the pohd as on the mini with r3612. all jukeboxes worked and found the files. only thing i`m not able to test is with a nas, but if i select the index.htm in the pohd on the internal drive, by network from the mini it works as well same goes for the index file on a external drive attached to the mini, which i accesed from the pohd by the network. i`m guessing the problem with the nas is the rights given to the pohd-mini for the shared files, maybe

Re: [BETA] firmware version r3612 with YAMJ & Trial BT
Hi All, My POHD mini arrived today and I've had some success upgrading to the latest firmware for YAMJ, and getting YAMJ working.
The strange behaviour is - YAMJ works fine with the default skin. When I change the skin to robinsjexcal I get "cannot service request" error, but it builds the html fine in the new skin - I can double click on the index.html file in my movies folder and it behaves as it should do on the player. It just doesn't work on the player. I tried another skin and it remained as the default skin on the player but built the html file in the new skin.
Any ideas what's going wrong?
I'm on the version of the firmware linked at the start of this thread, YAMJ r1580, YAMJ GUI Config (ACR) v0.93.
Any help much appreciated - YAMJ is a great tool and I want to use it to it's full potential
EDIT - looks like I'm having the same problem as elflamingo two posts up!

I think when the index is first created it uses the Library.xml file to help it set up the paths at that point and I still think this is where my problem is, but not getting too far with it so any other help (especially if it's of the "you have got it all wrong and you need to do this" variety would be very welcome. I even tested the index file on the pc and it is easy to see the path it is trying to use, but still don't know how to set it up correctly. Heres hoping.........

Let me first of all start of by applauding the folks at A.C. Ryan for this amazing feature I finally feel I'm using a streamer where it's fun to browse the movies I don't really want to go on and on with the bugs that have been reported, but the only thing that's wee bit annoying is creating the jukebox and the index file. It's a painful process and would love if this can be integrated into the UI inside the mini. I mean I really don't have to use the PC to create the jukebox and generate the index file. If you can solve it, every mom-dad kinda user would truly be able to enjoy the blessings of the YAMJ I could use the YAMJ, successfully with a externally connected HDD on the mini and I could also use it on the laptop connected on the network.

@andyparksy, i really would not know how it works with a nas, but as i said when using the mini for jukebox, all jukeboxes i made are found and working, also the one i made on the internal drive for the playonhd-standard. @matt666, the default skin is at the moment the only skin supported by the pohd and the pohd-mini.

Yes. I have no prob using YAMJ plugging my portable HDD to the mini. I also have no prob using YAMJ for my movies in the HDD of my PC. My problem is when I plug my portable HDD to the PC, I only can view the jukebox but cannot play from it. No prob when using "Browser" to play my movies in any place. So far happy with the YAMJ. 2 problems that I hope ACR team can improve on it. 1. Subtitles for MP4 files. 2. Play my movies when my portable HDD is plug to my PC Thanks in advance.

junwei wrote: The current method to get BT to work, is to plug in the external hard disk first to your Mini, then go to Setup || System || Extension Package Update. Mini will create BT folder into your external hard disk and you will be able to use the BT features for Mini. Does it requre an EXT3 formatted disk, or should it work with NTFS? I still could not get BT working with that method. No BT folder is created, I cannot upload a torrent via http, it's pretty frustrating.
