The biggest problem I have is with using YAMJ for TV Series. YAMJ pulls down the incorrect poster art and prog details.
I have used YANFOE to create the correct the correct NFO files, but YAMJ seems to ignore them and create its own XML files!

YANFOE doesn't support TV shows. The best way around this is to create a NFO file with just the URL of the SERIES (not SEASON) page of the TV show from TheTVDB.com. name this file the same as the first episode in the folder, or if there are only those episodes in the directory, the name of the directory.

Post Re: [BETA] firmware version r3612 with YAMJ & Trial BT
Hi guys

First up thanks to everyone for the work in getting this beta out - it really is appreciated

Have loaded it up and appears to be working fine but having followed the instructions for installing YAMJ I have ended up with a few problems - I have an index file that was created through the "ACR_Yamj.cmd" wich in turn was on the back of the "Yamj GUI Config (ACR) v0.93". The Jukebox folder has been set up from the index routine and is sitting on my NAS

When I click into a film to start playing it is telling me the film cannot be found and I am wondering if it is because the path is trying to take it to an internal file as would have been the case in the larger POHD instead of the NAS I am storing my films in. Rather than something like Z:Aliens.MKV, the link is to //../Aliens.mkv

Anyone had any luck in setting up the Jukebox with a NAS? and if so can you give a few mini specific tips on set up that might need to be changed from the instructions that are there for the full POHD?

Cheers

You didn't try modifying the library.xml file to place the Jukebox folder in a different location did you? I've found i get 'the media not found' error if the Jukebox folder is located anywhere other than in the exact same location as the media files.

No, Jukebox folder is in the same place so no worries there - am pretty sure it is to do with the ACR_Library.xml file that has been created from the GUI that I have used as this appears to control the paths. Have tried to amend this and re-run things but am having difficulty getting it to look in the right places I think I might have to ask Omertron nicely to update his GUI for the mini for simple folkes likes what I is!

Any other ideas???

Thanks once again

Mozi,

I don't have MP4 files here at home, mostly MKV and RMVB. Will test it out tomorrow and see if there's a workaround.

Subtitle is ok using "Browser" but will not show up using "Jukebox".
Press "Menu" or "Subtitle" button, the screen will show "thumb down with circle and line that cut across"

Maybe Omertron can help for the next YAMJ firmware.

Ha ha :) I only do the easy part of YAMJ, it's the ACR guys that do the firmware :D
SRT Subtitles should be picked up by YAMJ ok. You can check the XML file for the movie to see.
It should have a <subtitle> like in there with a value of "YES", "NO", "language" where "language" is a set of languages pulled from the MediaFile, so could be, for example "en / nl / fr" etc

I do not know how does the maxi work.
For the mini, it cannot play the movie from YAMJ if my HDD is plug into my network pc. (It can show the movie details in YAMJ, just cannot play from it)
It works fine if my HDD is plugged to the mini.
So I guess it is the path problem that was created by YAMJ GUI. (No problem in "Browser" mode)

I think it will be difficult for YAMJ GUI to create the correct path too.
This might be because the HDD that plug into the pc might be drive letter E: or F: or whatever.
(Just my guess)
