My DVR is connected to antenna point & TV but not connected to my pc. How can firmware installation be carried out? Is it necessary to link it up with my computer?
When I schedule my recording, why am I unable to watch programs on another channel? Thought this is suppose to be a special feature on this model?

You can place the firmware update on a USB stick (Diskje), and then place that in the DVR.
With that, you can update the firmware.

You mean I just need to save the files of the firmware which I have downloaded onto an USB stick & plug it into the DVR? No other actions required? It will self install?

Here are the procedures on how to install the firmware For DVR TV:
1. Download the firmware for your model.
2. Extract the whole content, directly to the root directory of your USB thumb drive.
3. Insert the thumb drive to one of the USB host of the DVR (Make sure the set is OFF).
4. Connect the Video out of the PlayON to your TV.
5. Press and hold the power button on the front panel.
6. Power ON the set (Main Switch).
7. Release the power button after 5-10 seconds.
On your TV, installation should display. Wait to finish the installation.



Because the DVR TV only have one tuner, you can only watch or record live program at a time. But while recording another program you can still watch the previous recorded program you made.

Instead of connecting video out, my connection to TV is HDMI. That should not pose a problem, right? The purpose is for me to view the installation, right?
I was trying to browse the destination folder for installation but could not detect my thumbdrive. As such, I'm unable to extract the content to my thumbdrive. Only the local drives can be seen though I can acsess the thumbdrive from My Computer.

Yes you're correct, you can connect any of the video output to your TV. You must use a PC to extract the downloaded file to your thumbdrive. To install the firmware please follow the instructions mentioned above because you cannot install the firmware for the device if you used the copy (source->destination) option, the firmware file will not be recognized.

Followed the steps but installation did not display. Only the screen showing PLAYON!DVR TV was displayed. The set seems to be hanged. I can't power off the set. Have to switch off from behind. What next?
