How can i streaming audio and video files with ubuntu 9.04. I set the playon with my pc to file share but i like to know if i can streaming video and audio from my pc to playon. I use vlc and i have see that it has some settings for streaming.

You can try to connect both devices onto the same network and see on NEt browser of the playon if it can see your PC. Sad to say VLC will not work.

I have connect them and i can see the files from my pc or to move a avi file from pc to acryan. I like to know if can transconding .mkv files from my pc to acryan. I have find mediatomb programme for this job

The second thing is to live audio streaming from my pc to acryan but i think this is one missing thing for player.

Streaming of not supported format to the DVR will not work if you have not used the transcode server software, but the transcode software can only work with Windows OS. The other two you mentioned i beleive we tried and did not work. For live streaming, maybe it is different. Because you cannot set the sharing properties for the audio you want to play unless you saved it first on your PC.

i have read that mediatomb can do transconding from linux. It works with ps2 and with many other media player and i think it will work and with acryan. I will work with it and i find something i will post there. Sorry but i dont use winblows anymore and i cant use the realtek transconding programme that youg give.
For audio streaming i can do an audio server from my pc. The only that missing is an option to acryan to hear this audio-soutcast servrer.
