Post Compatible Wireless-N draft USB Adapters
According to the tech specs the PlayOnDVRtv will work with any usb wireless adapter that has a Realtek chipset. This includes n-draft wireless usb dongles, which A.C. Ryan is releasing their official one at the end of this week according to this thread:

viewtopic.php?f=63&t=1199&p=4123&hilit=wireless+n#p4123

What I want to know is who knows of any N-draft wireless usb dongles that are already on the market that have Realtek chipsets? Let's start a list!

Or does anyone know where you can go to find out for individual devices?

Hi CiRi,

We have not yet try the two model you mentioned. Please give us sometime to check this with our Engineers. As for our own Wireless N USB dongle, it is confirmed that it is not compatible with the DVR.

Hello A.C.Ryan

Any news on this? The DVR's are sold by A.C.Ryan with a 11g dongle. Will 11n dongles (with Realtek chips) work at full speed?

greetings

MathNiss

Hi ,

I would like to know as well if I can buy a Wireless-N USB adapter ?

By the way, at this moment, I am discourging the people around me to buy the unit as the technical support is non-exixtent.

Better think before buying a product from acryan. Once they have your money, they no longer care.

Technical support make all kind of false claims and promises and ask time to sort out your question, but once you give them the time they just hope you forget and never respond.

well thank you for this will try to support you even better then. ;)

thought we did a reasonable good job in that department,
just as it does not answer the question you posted earlier,
although there where numerous posts about the issue,
only it was about the pohd and not the dvr,
so therefor sorry but the codes are just not available it seems,
but some members did (i believe) found some off them,
and i redirected you to that post earlier today,

i`m really sorry i did not see your post earlier,
I would certainly answered sooner then.
but i`m here from October last year and your post was i believe earlier,

but stating here that the support is non consistent,
you definitely kicking my boots with that assumption,
i`m offering as much spare time i can find as are all the others here,
who do care for you and i also mean the staff and the moderators as well as a lot of members.

me personally haven`t seen any manufacturer,
with a forum and support team this magnitude,
in the audio, media business,

so i`m really not happy with these kinds of flames,
and hope you understand why i react on this this way
as much as i understand you felt neglected for which i again apologize.

;)

and for your question:

for the PlayonDVR the wireless N is not compatible as stated before by Yap.
for the PLayon!DVR-HD however it is possible:
see the site from the Playon!DVR-HD

http://www.playondvr.com/en/#info

;)
