Unfortunately, didn't help.
Tried NTFS, FAT32 and FAT16 but all fail / same results.

Guess I'll have to bring the unit back to the store, grrrrrrrrr. Still, strange situation.

Thanks again.

Ok good luck

Hi Dirk,

Thanks, but no... already tried that since I read in posts..... the box doesn't react on any remote actions when I try to get the firmware installed.
The AC Ryan startup image shows on the TV and that's it.

Game over man.

wanted to put the lol smilie but that would not have been appropiete.

just funny the way you said, (and i get the message just had to know ;) )

but back on topic.

you say you can see the network lights flickering.
does it also ping?
or a telnet.

download the first firmware for the mini (don`t know which one that was),
extract the zip on your PC then copy the install.img to the root of that stick.
1GB usb stick (from a well known brand which i mean not a give away) format that one to FAT.

take out the powersupply,
and connect the pohdmini to your screen using the composite cable
so no hdmi nor component.

put in the usb pendrive,
press the powerbutton and hold it pressed while connecting the powersupply,
hold the powerbutton till the flasching starts.

i know you tried already,
but just take your time here,
and perform this step by step,
so also download the firmware again,
and also extract them again.

;)

Hi Dirk,

You can put your lol smilies where - & whenever you want. It's just a box that 'died'... no serious harm. Ofcourse I'd like to see different but in the end all will be fine (one day).

I've tried all you said, except connecting the composite cable. I used the HDMI and to my sense that's not the cause.... The AC Ryan logo pops up so the HDMI connection is fine. But, I will give it a shot trying with the c/ cable. In those desparate moments I'd even do a nude dance in front of the tv if that would help :D

Also tried the older firmware, no luck there.

USB Sticks are ok, used them before and I have 3 to test. Would be strange if suddenly they failed all 3.

Thanks for your reply, let you know about the c/ cable results later.....

And the test results are: negative.

A visit to the shop seems to be the only cure.

All fine. Got a new box. The store could not determine the cause but firmware seemed wrecked. Also my experience. The new one works fine, though running on the initial firmware.

Somewhat reluctant to do the update of the new / latest firmware for the POMini. I'll think it over...

Thanks for your reply and efforts!

I also made the exciting choice to upgrade the firmware...
