 Re: Using Transmission
Quote: So why can't I get to the webinterface is the question that remains. Try edit settings.json file : change Quote: "rpc-whitelist": "127.0.0.1;192.168.*.*", by Quote: "rpc-whitelist": "*.*.*.*", What is your computer IP ? your POHD IP ? What address did you put in your web browser ?

You can improve security by installing lighttpd_SSL_proxy package : it make webui accessible using SSL connection. Those things where done but no logon screen im not at home at the moment but will copy my edited config file here tonight This is my config file { "download-dir": "\/pod\/data\/Downloads", "rpc-password": "test.", "rpc-port": 9091, "rpc-username": "kraakie", "rpc-whitelist": "*.*", "rpc-whitelist-enabled": true, "alt-speed-down": 50, "alt-speed-enabled": false, "alt-speed-time-begin": 540, "alt-speed-time-day": 127, "alt-speed-time-enabled": false, "alt-speed-time-end": 1020, "alt-speed-up": 50, "bind-address-ipv4": "0.0.0.0", "bind-address-ipv6": "::", "blocklist-enabled": false, "dht-enabled": true, "encryption": 0, "lazy-bitfield-enabled": true, "message-level": 2,

 Re: Using Transmission
After saving file and restart Transmission, the config file should look like : Quote: "rpc-password": "{fc6c1e46842e4837d0919c41f6a97058339610aa3vXSePvr", "rpc-username": "mylogin", because Transmission encrypt the password at startup. If your password still appears in clear, Transmission probably didn't start properly.

 Re: Using Transmission
"encryption": 0,
----
What is the diff btw setting encryption=0 (disabled) and encryption=2 (enabled)
I did a search over the net and found some "settings.json" that uses the latter.

 Re: Using Transmission
"encryption" parameter is about encrypted connection with peers : Quote: 0 = prefer unencrypted peers 1 = prefer encrypted peers 2 = require encrypted peers
