I have downloaded the POD installer and transmission,
I cannot acces the webinterface (says no such adress exists ?!?!)
So I downloaded a GUI and see the torrents running.

But what happens when i shut my computer down ? Will the torrents keep downloading like with the torrentclient that comes with the PlayonHD ? Or do I have to keep my computer running all day ?

New to this POD stuff so some info would be greatly appreciated

Which GUI did you download ?

Which adress did you use in your web browser to access transmission ?

Did you start Transmission service ?

How can you enable the authentication option ?

I edit the config file with rpc-authenication on etc but no usernaam asked when running transmission ?

Whitelist is also good *.* so any ipnr can acces it

I want to acces my torrents on work so outside my internal network
But i dont want outsiders to acces my torrentz ;0)

in Settings.json file, edit these two lines and add a username / password.




You can improve security by installing lighttpd_SSL_proxy package : it make webui accessible using SSL connection.

Those things where done but no logon screen

Did you restart the service after editing the settings file ?

I am using the GIU from the transmissionBT website.
It works great.
So transmission service must be started otyherwise it wouldn't work.
In the adres bar I used the link as provided in the downloader, so http://playonHD-IP:9081 I believe ( I am at work so cant check for sure)

I meant that I had started it, otherwise I wouldn't be downloading torrents right now.
It also shows that it is started in the POD installer window.

So why can't I get to the webinterface is the question that remains.
For the rest it works awesome and the POD-installer ROCKS !!!!!
