Why did ACRyan close all firmware topics of the discontinued products? That ACRyan stopped the development does not mean users cannot still help eachother on issues with certain firmware versions. Not with problems that require a new firmware, no, but with common issues that could be resolved within the same version. I do not see any logic in locking all those threads down.

And about new firmware. What has Realtek ending support for the SDK and chipset have to do with ACRyan ending development of new firmware? ACRyan still has the old development kit to work with and could still release bugfixes for the discontinued products. That does not change with Realteks new policy. I mean: I am a developer myself and still have to maintain an application for which the support of the development kits have expired around 1996 (!!)

AC Ryan closed their firmware topics as they ceased firmware development when the products where discontinued, and the the firmware is not available as open source software to people outside of the company.
The forums for the players still exist, and you are welcome to post a question in there if you have one.

Of course they are; don't be naive!

The AC Ryan products never worked well, that is why people didn't buy them anymore. If your customers complain in large quanities (hence: "Closed enough said about this.") about AC Ryan discontinuing support for products that have still not received a stable firmware release, then it might ring a bell to you as a manufacturer. But instead, you're all just closing the topics with these complaints. Are you hoping the negative attitude of your valuable customers will just go away by itself or what?

And therefore, AC Ryan Europe recently went bankrupt. Because you fail to deliver stable firmware and ignore your customers' complaints. Very well done.

AC Ryan are fully aware of the sentiments you express in your post.
Us moderators also write to them to highlight these issues as well.
Noe of us mods have any detail on the decision to clsoe the Rotterdam operation and keep the company in Singapore open.
We are waiting for them to announce how the company will move forward

It would be a good start if they took Rotterdam offf the "Contacts" page of the main website.
