 ask support for Dreambox DM500HD .TS files (Bitstream Error) Hello,
Can you please add support to play other Bitstreams in .TS files?
I have a satellite receiver (Dreambox DM500HD) and it's recording are in .TS extentions.
Windows Media Player plays it perfecly but I would be nice if the media player could do this!
If I try to open it with the mini2 I get an error message:
Bitstream Error
Stop Playback
If you make this happend many Dreambox Enthousiast are potential custommers!!!! (think about it)

Even the teletext information is there in it and i can read it with VLC (but not in DVR).
If you might I can send you a small example admission of my DVR to look with your Mini.
Also I do not know whether it different *.ts formate gives.

Re: ask support for Dreambox DM500HD .TS files (Bitstream Er Hi Vaako, Usually your transport streams have to be remuxed to a program stream (PS). One of the problems is that transport streams lack time stamps, so a player has no idea how long the file is and where it is. There are several programs for this, such as ProjectX and Mpg2Cut2. Look here for more information: http://www.videohelp.com/tools/sections/digitaltv-dvb-hdtvThe process itself is very fast as the streams are only remuxed and not converted. I never tried to play my Dreambox files on another player, I just used the Dreambox itself for that. Have you tried changing the extension of the file from .TS to .MPG?

Re: ask support for Dreambox DM500HD .TS files (Bitstream Er This is only true in some cases, I record .ts files on my computers and they play OK on my Mini2. I use .ts as I need subtitles, although one of the many bugs in the Mini2 is that they don't auto-select with .ts files (grrrrr...).
