Re: [Official] Firmware_PV73200_v7.4.x.r7317 Hello, Like the former 5440 firmware, this new one also fails in recognizing my Samsung 2 TB external harddisk en freezes 8 times out of 10  It's also sooooo slow compared to the older 7.3 range. So, back to PlayonX v73 R4824. Runs supersmooth, and I'll take the stereo playback through spdif issue for granted  Grtz Rob

If you want to use a custom font, revert to firmware 5440 or unpack the firmware, replace \usr\local\bin\Resource\arialuni.ttf by the font of your choice, rename that font to arialuni.ttf again and repack the firmware. See http://www.acryan.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=107&t=18471 for unpacking and repacking the firmware.

Unfortunately you have two choices: 1) To use custome font and everytime switch off device by unpluging of power socket. 2) To active custome font before watching movie (SETUP during playback does not make restart as in previous version of FW) and deactivate custom font before switch off device. Because I do not use subtitles movies very often, than choice (2) is now my choice.

I went for Duivels's solution for this bug. I unpacked the 7317 firmware and replaced the standard font with the 'arialnb' font and it worked like a charm.
Still happy that our Mini is still going strong.
