*Sticky* [How to] use moviejukebox (YAMJ) with Veolo
Here are some instructions on how to use moviejukebox (YAMJ) with the veolo player:
1. configure and run moviejukebox so that it produces the index.htm and the Jukebox directory for the videos in your external usb drive.
2. copy these two (index.htm and Jukebox directory) in the root directory of the external usb drive
3. Plug the external drive in the Veolo and start the web browser
4. In the browser's address, type: file:///mnt/sda/sda1/index.htm (it is a good idea to create a bookmark so you don't have to type that in again)
That's it. You should now be able to navigate and start your movies. When you click on the "Play" button you should now see the android dialog that prompts you to select an application to play the movie file. I personally use the "MX Player" because the default video player has issues with subtitles.

Andy Thanks a lot Andy, yes I think it is a very nice user interface for browsing movies and tv series stored in an external drive. Veolo was missing something like that. Zafiris

The advantage of the Veolo should be that you can use any of the HTML skins to create your jukebox.
There may be some incompatibilities with the skins being able to render 100% correctly, but this should be fixable

Re: How to use moviejukebox (YAMJ) with Veolo
Hi,
generating the Jukebox works fine but I believe I made the wrong settings in the GUI Config. My Videos are on a NAS and I have set the correct address and directory but anyhow I can´t start the files. Instead only the address pops up in the browser (Opera). What do I make wrong?

The current AC Ryan format is to use relative paths for your jukebox content, so you should ensure that the path that is generated is relative to where the jukebox is located.
This is why the jukebox should be in the root of whatever location the media is in.
Hopefully that make sense.

Hi Omertron,
first, thanks for your reply. The Jukebox as well as the index file is in the root of the USB stick which is attached to the Veolo. The GUI from YAMJ is running on the Veolo well, the problem is that I can't start movies out of YAMJ as my video files are on a NAS. I generated the GUI with the GUI config as "Jukebox for my PC only" as all other options doesn't work for me. Assigned the correct NAS path where the files are located. When I start the Jukebox on the PC the movies are found and can be started out of YAMJ. When I start the Jukebox on the Veolo, trying to start a movie will only pop up the address of the movie inside a window of Opera.
Theo
EDIT "This is why the jukebox should be in the root of whatever location the media is in." missed that. Are you saying that I have to put the Jukebox on the NAS as well?

Re: *Sticky* [How to] use moviejukebox (YAMJ) with Veolo
Sorry, I'm just guessing as my Veolo is in a box and I need to get it out to play with it.
So, my guess would be that the playerpath that the GUI creates is something like "..\Movies\Moviename.avi"
If you run that from the USB stick, the jukebox will be looking to play a file on the USB. So try copying the jukebox to the root of the NAS share, browse to the NAS share and try playing that way.

Re: *Sticky* [How to] use moviejukebox (YAMJ) with Veolo
Hi,
the generated address is: "file:///DLINK/movies/movie.avi"
The DLINK is generated by the GUI config in which I set the IP i.e. 192.168.2.XXX
Theo
EDIT Will try to put ALL on the NAS

EDIT Will try to put ALL on the NAS Hi Theo, I don't have a NAS to try to reproduce it but i have some ideas that may help: 1. is the address that pops up in opera the same as the one you see if you navigate to the movie directory with the veolo built in file explorer? 2. did you try to use the built in web browser? 3. did you try mounting the nas share as described in the topic: "[HOW-TO] Mount Network shares on the VEOLO and scan them" ? Regards, Zafiris
