 Re: [Official] Firmware_PV73100_v7.4.x.r7317
barta.. the ideea is that the machine is unstable.
stop adding features and fix the old problems first. we don't want to hear about realtek firmware. i didn't pay realtek, i paid playon. they need to stop whining and fix the damn thing. 2 years since i bought it and still crap.
Prove me wrong playon!

I agree with you. Stop adding new features and fix the damn thing. But I like DLNA and want it fixed.
For me the main usage is watching movies and he does that with every type of file I try. So from that perspective I am satisfied. But the damn thing sometimes won't start up right or won't shut down. And I think they should fix all the bugs still in the firmware.
We have all our problems with this thing, so we must act together to make AC Ryan fix it.

I could not agree with the last three posts any more than I do. "Stop adding new features and fix the damn thing."

As I also noted in another post: the youtube player has become totally unuable now (it was sort of OK before this release, where sometimes I had to try a movie 5 times before it would play). Now I can still search video's but no matter how hard I try I cannot play any movie anymore. Too bad, because I did use the youtube player a lot. Maybe it has to do with the increase of commercials that youtube wants to show you before you can watch a movie...

No, it's because YouTube have changed things.

I don't think there ever gonna fix the problems that have been going on for sometime now. I think it's time to look for something else cause it seems the staff on here don't have a clue and they don't see to want to fix these old aged bugs.

I think you need to speak a language they can understand cause what were saying isn't getting done. Maybe we should tell them not to fix it and they will. lol

I've also given up on playonhd/acryan like many others... This old unit has gotten all the upgrade it can get.. It will never get fast and stable no matter what firmware you put in it! I have some advice though... Get yourself a cheap htpc (or use an old laptop etc.) and just try XBMC... Believe me, you won't regret it.. What you will regret is spending time on trying different firmwares for the playonhd! I know I did...

XBMCbuntu installed onto / replacing software on the HD1, anyone tried rebuilding the software stack based on something else. The chassis, and hardware incl. 2Tb drive have got to be useful for recycling.
