Hi, ive been reading on this site about putting a 3tb drive in my RYANHD because the spec says it will only recognise upto 2tb but saw a post were someone said they partitioned it into two 1.5's? Can anyone confirm for me that this will work as i dont want to keep swapping drives out because i cant get all my files on a 2tb. Thanx

Internal drives up to 2 TB are supported only and you cannot have an internal 3 TB drive with two 1.5 TB partitions, because the drive must be formatted and partitioned by the Playon.
EXTERNAL 3 TB drives with two 1.5 TB partitions are recognized as two distinct USB drives.

The only ones that I have seen or heard of working were EXTERNAL drives.

You may be able to get it working internall with some playing around with the partitioning usin something like the Mini Tool.

You could always try it but have a fallback position of putting it in a permanently attached USB enclosure.(Make sure that the enclosure supports 3Tb drive before purchase though.)

That way you would have your current storage PLUS 3Tb!
