 Re: [Official] Firmware_Playon!HD2_PV73700_v9.5.3.r7317
Been having a few issues with stuttering video and sound lately but can't figure what is wrong.. could it be the player doesnt support high bitrate? All movies with bitrate below 20mbps play just fine. All movies with bitrate over 20mbps stutters once in a while in 'action'-scenes (always at the same place and not random and I loose audio signal to my amp (yamaha rx-v667)) Streaming on a 1gbit network (linksys e4200) from a synology ds411j NAS using NFS. I can get stable 650mbps when streaming from nas -> computer so I don't think that is the problem.. Here is mediainfo from a file that stutters in action scenes: Quote: Complete name : T:\Band of Brothers\Band of Brothers.E07.The Breaking Point.mkv Format : Matroska Format version : Version 2 File size : 11.9 GiB Duration : 1h 12mn Overall bit rate : 23.3 Mbps Encoded date : UTC 2011-02-23 00:28:26 Writing application : mkvmerge v4.5.0 ('Speed of Light') built on Feb 1 2011 02:10:32 Writing library : libebml v1.2.0 + libmatroska v1.1.0

How are you browsing the content from your NAS, is it via NFS or Samba? You can try to browse your content using the player and use both of these options and monitor the result of the playback if it is going be different. You can also check if DLNA and Transmission are disabled for better player performance. Hope you can try and monitor again, sorry for any inconvenience.

All the high bitrate files has been played with DLNA and Transmission disabled using NFS from my NAS. I'll try watching this very same file using samba before reporting back. (NFS is suppose to be faster than Samba, isn't it?)

 Re: [Official] Firmware_Playon!HD2_PV73700_v9.5.3.r7317
Seems to be working now!
Did a reflash just in case, DLNA off, Transmission off and using Samba.
Don't know exactly what did the trick but won't touch anything as everything is working now.
Did notice DLNA is ON by default after reflashing and Roger suggested to turn if off to get better performence, maybe it's a good idea to set it to OFF in the firmware as it may cause trouble for other users if they don't disable it.

 Re: [Official] Firmware_Playon!HD2_PV73700_v9.5.3.r7317
Problem with HD2 rebooting when i move a file from one folder to another folder, when i press play buuton, before i get a chance to press the OK button the HD2 reboots. Also while playing an MP4 video if i press fast forward and then play, the audio plays but the video is stationary on the last frame and i can't get the video to move at all!. Regards pyrod

 Re: [Official] Firmware_Playon!HD2_PV73700_v9.5.3.r7317
Sometimes I got network not available errors (iirc the wording correctly) with this firmware and at times when I did connect to the network, it automatically rebooted (over and over) after successfully logging in.
I am back on 6629 and don't suffer from these problems anymore (thus far). I can't remember having these issues when I was using 6629 before either.

Im using beta 7716 and it is proving to be the best firmware ive used to date, yes there are a few minor bugs but still its much improved than the previous versions i have used i.e. 7713, 6629, 5440 etc.

 Re: [Official] Firmware_Playon!HD2_PV73700_v9.5.3.r7317
Hi,
I've been getting this issue after I ungraded the firmware.
Leaving it into screen saver mode for more than 30mins, it'll either hang/freeze. There are a couple of times that the froze for awhile and then it rebooted on it's own. Very weird issue.
Hope to hear from the AC Ryan team.

 Re: [Official] Firmware_Playon!HD2_PV73700_v9.5.3.r7317
I have 2 issues with this firmware:
1) Power off in Youtube XL freezes box (not dramatical) 2) Youtube "normal" - every video produces an error message (i think file can not be played or something) - i can't play a single video. In youtube xl all tested videos work, but i can't look fullscreen, right?
bye
