I think the 7716 is the best firmware there is at the moment.
The only and definitely REAL problem is that the STORE and play may NOT be SOLD as NTFS compliant, because it does not STORE NTFS reliable.
This while the player is formatting in NTFS only by itself.
To much for words.. ACRyan is creating its own problem now.
Bring on a r7716 with good working NTFS guys, Come on!
Don't mess around with customers and false promises in leaflets.

Personally I expect far more updates than this considering this is this BETA firmware, at this rate new products for 2012/13 will be out.

I have sent bugtracker emails direct to AC Ryan and still haven't heard any response from anyone.

This media player could be so much better than it's competitors, but instead, left in limbo with a HUGE bug that AC Ryan says they don't suffer from.

I do not understand what you want to say me. Why should I create a new topic ?
The quintessence in my contribution was that I have give you a note regarding the NTFS error is, and where you must have in order to find him. Because of this I have trouble with Steffen.

I find it rather your justifications in terms of him are OT, since he is not the core message in my contribution was.

All stable NTFS players/NAS f.i. Dune, Netgear, are using the Tuxera NTFS drivers today.
Maybe its time that ACRyan spends some money by deploying a better driver for NTFS.
If they have some empathy with there customers...
I would like to see a r7716 firmware with Tuxera NTFS driver.

I Hope this beta will solve my problem. Until yesterday my HD2 worked fine. But since yesterday it won't get past the Playon HD2 flash screen. No menu, no furter notices just the splashscreen then black again, flashscreen, black again.... With or without the harddisk connected, with or without hdmi cable inserted.
I found some information about the boot loop but seams to be another problem since it get's past the splashscreen.
I hope the save flash routine will fix this..

The save flash option worked and the HD2 is functioning again. Not properly but it is working. It doesn't show any movies stored on my harddisk nor will it recognize some folders om my NAS but it is certainly a major improvement compared to the boot loop problem. I will try to reflash it to the official firmware release... you never know!

Bug found.
watching the movie posters end then go back (return key) reboot crash the system. the same knowing bug in the first firmware releases. (sorry for my bad english)

SUPPORT

exFAT is not supported. I thought I'd circumvent the NTFS by formatting the drive with exFAT only to find it's not supported

Please add, maybe this could be a work around for the NTFS reboot issue?
