Post How to record analog TV program
Hello! I just bought my PlayondvrHD (ACR-PV76120) yesterday, and have connected it to my TV (Sharp Aquos). I am able to watch TV, play music and watch recorded movies. I was told that I can actually record TV program, however, I am not able to find a way to do it. I connected my TV cable to the the ANT. / RF IN socket and ANT./RF OUT to my TV. My TV has no A/V output though. Any advice is very much appreciated, and thank you in advance.

The easiest way is to press 'record' directly on the remote control while watching a programm?
Alternatively you can also schedule a recording manually or via EPG. There's a EPG button on the remote as well!
While watching TV you can press 'menu' as well to schedule a recording.

Make sure you have the latest software which can be found here:

Let us know if you still cannot figure it out.

Hi Arne, I think the poster's problem is that he/she has analogue TV - not digital TV. There is no analogue TV tuner in the PV76120, only digital. I'm not sure where the poster is located, but without DVB-T transmissions, no off-air TV recordings are possible. If the poster could get a video and audio feed from the TV they could connect to the AV-in connectors and record like that, just like several posters do with their satellite TV feeds.

I might have misunderstood this post completely - sorry ! :)
and yes indeed you can connect to AV/IN on the DVR and try it that way.

sorry for the confusion and thanks for the hint!

Thank you Arne and Tony! Yes, I am from Singapore and there is no from the air Digital TV signal unless we subscribe to StarHub cable TV. I understand my problem now, and I am looking for the AV out from my TV; unfortunately, there is none :( I will see what I can do next :) Thank you both once again and have a wonderful day!

Sionggo Japit, Sorry for hijacking this thread.
I also from Singapore.
I have the similar issue. Unable to watch TV. Tried to search TV channel but no result :-(
Is it like no available channel in Singapore?

Then my next question.. how to record the Starhub TV from the Starhub box?

Singapore has four free digital channel available but only limited to houses which are using aerial antenna for reception, other than that the location also matters which means that the coverage is also limited.

For your Starhub, like what they have suggested above. You need to connect the composite output (A/V out) of the Starhub box to the DVR composite input (A/V in). After this, you can tune first to the channel you wanted to record on your Starhub box then on the player side you have to tune to A/V in on the main menu. Any signal or channel coming out from your Starhub box will now be displayed to your TV and can be recorded by the player. Sorry for any inconvenience.
