We are all sorry for any inconvenience for what you've experienced with the set. But I guess you got/have a non working/defective unit, you might want to make a replacement first and try it again. As obviously the product should not work like that, I personally have this player which was also the same as yours nothing special but it works fine to me.

However, we will get a internal beta with ICS to our current Veolo and then depending on the results we will continue or not. Hopefully this will work nicely with our hardware, but again, we can't promise. Br,

Why didn't you check these things before the product reached the market?

We are currently waiting for the first version for internal testing before we can actually know. Before we get this version, we can't know how it will run our our system. Br,

Obviously not working. There are very few similar products / competitors who are running ICS on a Android TV box at this moment. Our engineers decides to discontinue the current firmware development on the Froyo 2.2 version, (therefore you have not seen that many firmware releases last months) as we are going to give ICS a good try and this work is in progress. I will highlight again, this is not a promise that we will release, but a very honest try and hopefully we can bring this OS to your products. AC Ryan does not have offices in China as our main offices are located in Rotterdam and Singapore. Br,

Br,
So what you are saying is that you might or might not prepare ICS based firware and are not promising anything. And not giving any time lines either means your customers are left hanging for months on end to wait news on this with vague maybe we will bring it statements. You also admit that you have discontinued support for the present Froyo based firmware already months ago. Previous information released on these forums that firmware fix on the network setting issues and crashing systems is on the way was a blatant lie then ? For me it looks like the whole AC Ryan is going under if there is no resources to fix even basic bugs on the present firmware. If your not able to do it yourself and are about to close shop why not publish full code for everything so that someone can write the fixes in form of custom rom. Probably takes only couple of weeks after necessary code is released. For another customers who bought this product in Europe, maybe complains to your country customer protection authorities might see you to get refunded. For us that bought from Asia i doubt we have any means to get our moneys back. And it would be appreciated if you could take this up with your management, i mean fixing the major bugs on present firmware (network settings and issues with android set-up crashing the system as i and others have reported). That should not take much resources and at least the box would be in some level usable while waiting the ICS that might or might not be coming. It's a shame really as the box would be really good product if just the firmware would be working and stable.

 Re: [Official] Firmware_VEOLO_ACR-VE91200_v1.0.0.932
@mattijok I'm basically telling you what I know in terms of what is happening with firmware. As we don't have a internal confirmed working version for ICS we cannot promise it will work and therefore also not promise to release this. Simple as that, you don't need to twist my words. I'm working for the support department at AC Ryan and our developers / engineers don't have time to show presence on our forums, so I try to give some information based on my position and knowledge, which is not in development or management. Many of the current issues that are present on our latest firmware based on Froyo (2.2) are OS limitations and bugs. Therefore we can't fix some of the issues that are present in this OS alone. That is why we have taken the correct and only choice by attempting to release a firmware version based on ICS (Android 4.0) and go from there... I will leave this subject again, but you can always refer to my previous post or this one regarding this matter as there is not much more to say that has not been said If you have legal issues or further complaints regarding this. Please send a email to our support emails found on our homepage and we will naturally forward to the right department. Br,
