1. Player model: ACR-PV73700 for the Playon!HD2.
2. Firmware version: r7317 for the current Playon!HD2 firmware.
3. Reproducibility: Recently. Just facing this problem today.
4. Setup: how are you connected? AV Receiver DENON1911/ LCDTV / Dlink Switch / Cat6 Wired etc.
5. Operating System (optional): Windows XP
6. Description of problem:
I cant view ACRyan share folder from my laptop. So i find out from ACRyan Setting > Network > SAMBA > OFF.. I try to turn it ON but nothing happen. Please help. If you have command line how to start samba services manual , please share.

If you have problems with turning 'Samba' network sharing on.

1.) Do you have a internal hard drive in your Playon!HD 2 and is this hard drive formatted in your Playon!HD 2 system? If not, please do this.

2.) If above is done and still not able to turn this setting on? Then please 'Safe-Mode' update your Playon!HD 2 with a USB-stick that is formatted to FAT32.

Yes i've internal hdisk which is format previously using acryan. So what im suppose to do? update beta firmware?

The link provided by my colleague above does have the latest firmware and not beta. It is better if you try it first. Sorry for any inconvenience.
