Post Problems with map sharing
Hello,

I have set a map for sharing on my laptop and Veolo showing up on my laptop and on Veolo my laptop is showing and the shared map also.
If I click on the shared map a pop-up shows up where I need to set a username and password.

I have not set anny password, or protect the shared map with a password. So I have tryed manny things but I get the message "username and password incorrect"

What is the username and password?? I have tryed my account name forum the laptop and leave the password emty because I have not setup a password for the account and stil the same message. I don't get it, I have not setup a password and stil the message "username and password incorrect".

So how to fix that I can use the shared maps and stream my movies????
also if I plugin my harddisk from my latop in the player with USB the harddisk is not showing up on the Veolo.

Help because now I can use my movies, because this on is on the harddisk of my lapyop :(

Hi there, you just need to make few configuration on your PC. For better understanding on how to share folders please see this link http://www.acryan.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=2269

I have got the same problem with my Veolo when I try to connect to my ReadyNAS. I can see my drives, but when I try to connect to a drive, Veolo asks for account and password, but it works fine with my older PlayOnHD mini!

If it is a full functioning NAS, you have also a setting that you might want to check. Please make sure that everything was set to read and write mode and the permission was also set for Veolo. Please refer to your NAS manual or its support page.

You have to be familiar with your NAS, as I suggested to you that you must refer to your manual on how to grant permissions of share folder/file for each devices. It's your NAS that is blocking the access and not the Veolo. You can try to confirm this by browsing the shared files on your PC via the Veolo and see if it will give you the same result.
