Hi all,
I just joined so I immediately have a question

AAC sound (simple stereo, no multichannel) does not work.
That is, for some files it works, but for the intended media as generated by Pinnacle StudioHD it doesn't.
Some clarifications:
- The file is made with Pinnacle from several short camera videos
- It plays fine on the computer, full HD video & stereo sound
- For the best (non-stuttering video) results, a preset format in Pinnacle must be used. Simply using MP3 sound instead of AAC is not an option (literally)
- Attached media info of the 'homevideo' that is NOT working, and of a file using AAC LC that DOES work.
- Switching LPCM/Passthrough in the sound options does not resolve the problem
- Latest firmware installed (v9.5.5.r7317) which should solve the known AAC Multi channel missing center channel problem, but does not fix this (different) problem
- AC Ryan connected optically (SP-DIF), via HDMI and via RCA (analog downmix stereo). Three ways of getting sound, all get silent playing this file
- 'Info' button on POHD simply states Audio 'unknown'

The POHD Mini 2 is still unsurpassed as a means to go to friends with your holiday pictures on an USB stick & simply watch them on an available TV, beamer or monitor.
I did not expect any problems with the simple sound....
Hope to find a solution!
Sjoerd.
