Check the network connection of your Playon. Turn on Samba/NAS on your Playon for it to be detected by your Windows computers. Share the relevant files/folders on your Windows computers for them to be seen by the Playon.
You can have different workgroups without any problem.

Check the IP address of your Playon in "SETUP" and se if you can PING it from the problem computers.

A router addressing problem may be creating this.

Turn on the NAS option in the Setup menu area. Use a static IP address on your DVR-HD.

Windows XP computers will not show the DVR-HD as a visible computer. To access it: Start >> Run >> type \\<IP address of DVR-HD>

Windows 7 computers will find the DVR-HD most of the time. If it does not, use the \\<IP address> method.

You will need to setup a username and password on shared folders on your computers. It may be easier to set permissions for each folder you want to access to the 'Everyone' user group.
