Hi,
This is a very strange thing, the player suddenly stopped recognizing my network and USB PEN.
Everything was working perfectly and from a moment to another this happened, I tried to update the firmware to the one I had installed with no result. I also tried to look into this forum and see if something similar was here with no success.
Could this be an hardware error?
Any help is welcome.

It could certainly be but I would at least try a "SAFE" firmware install.

This seems a hardware fault indeed. See your vendor or contact AC Ryan for repair or replacement.

You are not going to believe, this morning I powered up the unit and surprise, surprise, the USB and network were back!!!
Can some one explain to me what could have happened?
I am mid happy, mid sad, and I begin not to trust the player...

Well, I was not drunk, that I can say, perhaps the player was drunk, it least it seemed so.
From your reply I can assume your recommendation is to give no more wine to the player?

But, seriously, I do not know an explanation other than an instantaneous power black-out or brown-out.
Just wait and see if it happens again. If it does, it may be a hardware defect and then you should see your vendor or contact AC Ryan by phone or e-mail.

Seriously, I agree that the best thing to do is to wait, since the failure I had no more trouble, but it's still early to take conclusions.

Hi, The problem remains, from time to time the Playon stops "seeing" the USB and network, and it can take many hours and power offs till it "sees" it again.
Meanwhile if I change the setting in the network configuration to manual IP, it does not connect to the network, I can tell you I know what I am doing, I am a technical computer person, and network specialist, this should work! When the in auto (DHCP), the device shows an outside IP address from my internal network, don't know where did it get it, probably it's the router IP address of the internet, I did not check it. After many attempts where I need to power down and restart the device and apparently without any reason, the network shows up again, the same with my USB PEN. This is also a strange behavior, when the network is not working it does not show the USB, when it's working, the USB devices are back again.
Please can you put some light into this subject, there are other users complaining with the network access, something must be wrong with the device software.
