Hi,

After trying many times to get the market from google or now the play store on the veolo it haven't touched my veolo for a long time untill today :(... a long time is already about three months. But I am having a day off and know the time to try it again. After reading all topics still no resolution on how to get the play store on my veolo. I have lost again a lot of time and still nog working google app store.!!!! I am getting realy frustrated now!!!!

If have done a factory data reset(many times) and installed the latest firmware [Official] Firmware_VEOLO_ACR-VE91200_v1.0.0.932, but still no app with google play(many times). I also tried to install update after update (newer after new version) but also no result. There is with the download an zip file with update_app but if I try to install the market from there it also doesn't work. Downloading it from the internet and trying to install it doesn't work either.

I am getting a bit cranky now as I am not using the veolo and if I can't get this working I have paid to much for nothing. Without the market I cannot get any good apps which I need/want to use.

I bought this as everything I have phone/tablet is on android so I thought I would install a app to get remote control via my tablet on the veolo but this seems miles away as I can't even get the app store online where I can get the software I need to achieve this.

Sorry for the frustration but I am not happy with the product as a result of all this.

Hi,

the Android Market is included in the latest firmwares. You can try this:
1. format the internal memory ( SETUP -> SYSTEM -> Storage Management -> Storage Management -> Format internal memory
2. use factory data reset option from SETUP -> SYSTEM -> Factory Data Reset
3. safe-flash the unit using recovery mode as described in the update steps.

Once the player updated and started you will find the 'Market' App in the App center. If you now enter the market you will to accept the terms & conditions of google and enter your gmail account. Once htis is done you be able to access the market.

If there's still problems let me know.

Still some problems (or still the same). I have done as you asked me to and still nog market app.

Let me separate some of the questions/actions I have taken to make sure I am doing it correctly;
* step 1 and 2 from your suggestion are taken.

1) updated as mentioned, only via RECOVERY UPGRADE method my screen turns black during the update and doesn't go any further, I have waited for over an hour. Using the SYSTEM UPGRADE method (*recommended!) way it did update en restarted but also there I did not have the "market" app.

2) the "market" app should be found in the android pitt? As I can't find it under any possible name I am guessing it is not there, or what search term should I be using?

3) if the app is not in the market installing is from the update_app.zip file is also not working,

4) Setting/misc/buildnumber is stil 627 version, but as it says build version that should be correct or should the new version be mentioned?

The thing I suspect is that the version is not upgraded but I don't know where to check this. The only reason I can imagine is;

Copy both files in the downloaded package, “update_app.zip” and “update_system.zip” to the root directory of a USB flash drive and connect it to any USB host port of VEOLO is not being done correctly be me, could that be that I am using an external drive instead of a USB stick? The external drive is working correcty as movies on there can ben played correctly.

Please let me know your thoughts

Really sorry for any inconvenience. The procedures you are following is correctly executed by you, in this case you might need to try the installation using a USB stick. If still cannot, then you can try to install firmware 849 first then followed by firmware 932. Hope you can try it again.

I'll give it a new try ;-) no time today but maybe you can answer these questions in advance

- How do I know for sure if the new firmware is installed?
- If it is installed I can find the "market app" in the android pit or is it installed? Could you maybe make a screenprint of the market showing this app.

It could be luck but it works thanks for your patiance with me :D

@ Next question maybe for a different topic but which app should I download to remote controle (with view, not just remote access to my drives) my veolo from my android tablet or laptop? If I get that working I am very pleased as I would like to replace the remote control. (it works but not a prefference)

until now there is no remote application available. You can of course keep an eye out for news on our official channels such as forum/website/twitter/facebook. We announce news regarding products/development there first.
