 several youtube crashes
Yesterday I played some youtube clips on my HD2, running the latest firmware. It crashed three times. Earlier that day I tried to use it as a back-up drive in order to store data from my laptop over the network, using Samba. At 1% the NAS disappeared form the network, backup failed. I re-tried twice, no succes.
I bought this thing around christmas, with great enthousiasm. This has gone by now.
My sad conclusion is that nothing on this box really works well. It is primarily a media box, but not even the database works. I'm going to make one new attempt. Start new, reformat and re-install. If that doesn't change a thing - and I don't see why it should - I'll return the damn thing to Dynabyte. Regardless the fact that I've had it for a few months, this thing isn't fit for purpose!
