tired wrote: Just tried to watch some videos on YouTube for the first time with this firmware and copped a whole lot of frustrating Cannot Play Media File messages that seemed to go on and on for the majority of the videos. The issue for YouTube just came out two or three weeks ago. At that time it was intermittent but currently it is not totally not working anymore. We already reported for a fix regarding this issue.

I don't watch YT videos often with the Playon but when I do and they continully skip most of the videos like this its incredibly frustrating.

 Re: [Beta] Firmware_Playon!HD2_PV73700_v9.5.3.r7716
BUG 1:
Can't connect to facebook.com. Something about hosts
BUG2 YouTube: Network Congestion
BUG3: Rebooting Still occurs. Thought I'd leave the drive running for a while to see if it would work after settling down. Still does it.
BUG4: After trying to copy a folder to my HDD, I got a reboot ( surprise surprise!) then afterwards I cannot delete the folder left by the rebooting problem. States "FileCopy Not Finished" then another pop up shows "Delete failed!"
I cannot stress how much this is making me angry. I don't believe you don't have the same bug as your customers, or at least admit to it.
If you truly haven't experienced this bug, then your set-up is totally different to your customers be it folders, folder names, number of folders and structure etc and of course the number of files on their respective drives
You need to get hold of a users machine that is being affected by this bug and work out what's going on, otherwise I will want my money back.
Currently it's not fit for purpose and contravenes the Trades description Act.

completely agree!
It would be nice if this reboot loop issue could be pin pointed allowing the player to be stable! I'm happy to send my database file if that helps?
otherwise the manual should states specific rules for file structure if this is really the problem

 Re: [Beta] Firmware_Playon!HD2_PV73700_v9.5.3.r7716
I have updated to r7716 version without video jerking problem when connect HDMI cable direct to sharp LCD. However, when I connected HDMI cable from ACRYAN to Yamaha amp RX-V571 and HDMI cable out from amp to sharp LCD. I encounter video jerking 1-2 seconds sometime. How to fix this issue ? Any special setting require for ACRYAN or Yamaha amp ? Thx

I suggest it would be more like a setting on your Yamaha amp.

If so, I'm going to flash tonight and go backwards!! (great support eh? never known a company to force a customer to go back to fix a major issue!) Of course, AC Ryan could give us all affected by the bug a brand new VEOLO to replace our units as part of good customer service?

It looks like when you to that menu that the ac Ryan first take a quik look at the files. And then you can do somting els. Its slows down the machine. And the menu. I have the funtion HDD scan off. But still do it.
Have more people see this happen ? Best regards. Hello, If you go to 'Setup:System:Clearn history: Yes' You will speed up your player and not see those inputs anymore. Br, Hello, For me the same problem but i only use the player for streaming, no HD mounted. De player needs so much time to boot. It takes forever before i can use the menu en select the shortcuts. But if it's ready than everything works just fine. Best regards.

Of course, AC Ryan could give us all affected by the bug a brand new VEOLO to replace our units as part of good customer service? lol, I hear the VEOLO is just as bad! wouldnt risk buying from ACR again to be honest if I was looking for another media player let a lone take a freebie! I cannot guarantee the reboot loop will be fixed if you downgrade to 5440, but for me (a music user) I don't seem to get the reboot loops. I have tried upgradng to all versions above it now with the same outcome REBOOT, REBOOT REBOOT... So not sure whats happen since and before too as previous version were just as bad too! 5440 works for me! everytime i go back to it I have a much more stable scanning process (but i admit it's slower than more recent releases!) Hope this helps! can't hurt trying it for now! you might as well rebuild your database too/checkdisk with computer, just so its all freshly installed! Let me know how you get on!
