Post Changes in the Market Place
Hi everyone, I would just like to update all of you regarding the changes on Android Market place. Our Veolo Market place when updated will now become Google Play, this is the new market for Android.

The new Google Play is very much compatible with our Veolo. If some of you placed or created a shortcut of the old Market Place on the player main window, you might find it not working. But do not worry, you just have to delete that shortcut then go to the player application browser and create a new one which is now Google Play. Running the new Market Place requires you to accept the terms and condition again. Have fun everyone :D

HI Bruce, for your case I'd suggest for you to re-flash the latest available firmware for your player. This will fix the market automatic closing issue that you have now and after connecting your device to your network with internet access the market will be then updated. Please try it out.

Sorry for any inconvenience Bruce. If still shows you the same error, the next option we can try is to do a factory reset or reset to default. Please go to the player setup, under system select Factory data reset. Do note that all the application you installed will be deleted by this step. If a factory reset still cannot fix the issue of the unit then we suggest to bring it down to our service center for us to check.

Hmmm.... i managed to factory reset and gotten google play on my veolo.

However another problem surfaced. I can't seem to be able to watch xinmsn after i used Google play to update adobe flash. The video is jerky and no sound emitted.

And now i can't factory reset any more.
The screen shows an exclaimation when veolo is rebooting and trying to reset.

Hi Bruce, you have to use the flash meant for our device which can be installed automatically when you install or re-flash the firmware. The flash that comes with the firmware will provide hardware acceleration when playing back videos, for now you can uninstall the current flash installed in the set and do a firmware re-installation.

I see.
Ok got it to work after doing another reset.

Can i know if dice player works on veolo?
Not sure why but i can't seem to play any video files after installing it. Even the default player can't work now.

And uninstalling it doesn't seem to help

Hi Bruce, we tried installing dice player on the Veolo sorry to say that it cannot run, it might be that the requirement for the application is not suited for the device. We send the app to our developers for them to check.

For the issue you have regarding playing of video file, there two player installed in the device and one of them should work. It is the ES movie player and the default Video Player. Everytime you play a movie file, a selection of player will prompt and the two mentioned above will show.

Can you give us more details, on what specific problem you're experiencing when playing back video?

Hi Roger,

Thanks for the response.
I've since did an exchange with your colleague and now my Veolo works like a charm with the default player :)

However, as what your colleague advised, Veolo is not compatible with DicePlayer.
Hence I'll have to stick to other players for now.

FYI, I was able to install DicePlayer & the plugin for tegra2. However, when I tried playing any videos, there'll be a message "Sorry, the video cannot be played"

It'll be great though if some new firmware updates could get DicePlayer.

Apologies as this topic was digressed from the "Changes in the Market Place" & seems off-topic now.
Would you want me to start a separate thread on this topic so that it can be tracked separately?

Thanks.
Rgds, Bruce
