 Re: [Official] Firmware_PV73200_v7.4.x.r7317
yeah i agree with you on that...thank you to ac ryan for their continued support for us original mini owners it's truly appreciated. They are definitely listening to us & slowly getting issues fixed & working on making things better with each firmware release. I have stayed on r4824 for a long time but this firmware seems to be a big step forward & when i have the use of a backup player which is my mums player while she goes away on holiday in a couple weeks i'm going to upgrade the firmware on that & trial it for a few weeks if all goes well i'll upgrade mine too.
Quick question if i'm using r4824 i don't need to downgrade to 3852 first before upgrading to this firmware do i? the way i understand it it's only for people using older firmwares needing to upgrade to 3852 & then this one is that right?

Correct, you don't need to downgrade from r4824 before upgrading to this firmware.

I've updated my player last week and everything worked fine untill yesterday. At the moment my player stops playing files at random, which is pretty annoying.

@Fleshgod: What files and also files which played well before yesterday? How do you play these files, from your network or from a USB memory device? In short be more specific please. "Doctor, I am feeling ill" is not very helpful for an effective diagnosis.

A hard reset solved my problems, but to be specific
DivX, Xvids and MKV's played from a NAS which is wireconnected 1.000 mbps.

 Re: [Official] Firmware_PV73200_v7.4.x.r7317
I flashed the firmware yesterday, Apart from occasional reboots (annoying but bearable), there is a bigger problem for me. I use NAS as a data source for my Mini and the Mini is connected through wireless to my router. While watching movie Mini suddenly drops network connection and after a while restores it, but obviously I need to go through all options again to select the movie. And then it happens again. It never happened on a previous firmware and for me it is not acceptable. Anybody else with similar problem? Is there any solution to it? Other than that the firmware is magnificent - fast and very good looking!

The memory of the mini is jammed with unimportant shinyness, slowing the device down terribly. The solution would be revert to a SDK1 firmware which are faster, but without useless features, If you can live with that, revert. Otherwise, get used to reboots, hickups etc. Hope this helps. \HS

I would also advise a wired connection if possible - I get better results with it Andy

 Re: [Official] Firmware_PV73200_v7.4.x.r7317
If it would be possible, I wouldn't even consider wireless network. Unfortunately I have to stick to the current setup.
The occasional reboot is not a problem, as I mentioned. It can be annoying, but it happens only while browsing the menu. But the wifi disconnection happens while watching movie. Watching 20 minute episode of a TV Show it happened 3 times, way too many. I reverted to my previous firmware which has other problems, but while playing, works perfectly. When I have some more time, I will try to go all the way from the first official firmware, through version 3 to the newest one. Somebody wrote, that it helped him, I will check and if it works for me, I'll let you know.
