Hi,

I am not shure if this is the right place for this post, or that I need to create a new topic in the technical support forum, but it looks like all my problems are related to this formware.

After updating to this firmware version (on my POHD) I have these problems:

1. The POHD is slow. Booting takes longer, the remote lags, shutting down takes longer, switching menu's takes longer, etc.
2. I never shut down the player completely (by holding down the power button on the device), but alway use the power off button from the remote. 6 out of the 10 times I start the POHD (with the remote), it starts, displays the menu and then 'hangs'. It does not react on the remote or the power button in the device. I have to disconnect the power to reboot.
3. 3 out of the 10 times I start the POHD (with the remote), it 'hangs' during boot in a black screen. It does not react on the remote or the power button in the device. I have to disconnect the power to reboot.
4. When I connect from my Windows XP or 7 pc to the POHD via the network, the menu on the POHD 'hangs'. Looks like problem 2, but now it don't happen during (after) boot.
5. Sometimes the POHD can't connect to the network via the shortcuts I have created. When I use the file/network browser, it does work.

Are these problems related to this firmware? If so, is it likely there will be an better firmware in the near future? Or can I better go back to the older firmware?

I'm experiencing the similar problem as stated by bro vwkever. I'm planning to downgrade the firmware to a lower version e.g 4824 or 4585. Can I downgrade the firmware directly or there is a minimum FW version I need to use before going for 4824 or 4585? Please kindly advice.

1 surries bug in 5440. sometime if upload via ftp filn on internal disc, in windows is all ok but player see smal files part (15mb, not all 700mb). this same bug is if you watching movie, press stop and shutdwon player. when i turn player on file 700mb i see as file 15mb, and get error and movie closed at start. i add then erliner i see half thi movie witchout problems.

Is it possible to copy a Fantec firmware on a AcRyan?
It looks the same but without any problems :)

Hey,

I'm not able to tell you that. But if you would install another products firmware and it would break, then you will have lost your warranty. We have a 'other development' section here on the forum for similar questions.

Hello,

To me it sounds like your hard drive is not feeling healthy.
If you still use this firmware. Please connect your player to your PC with USB-slace cable and perform a checkdisk with your OS.

You can also update to our latest official firmware and do this from 'Setup:System:Scan hdd for errors'.

If your problem continues, then please send a email to our support.
