I've also played few movies (MKV 720p) - no problems here either. I've found one problem with fast forwarding. It works fine with low speeds, but as soon as I hit high speeds, it starts to skip big portions of video. It is showing a portion of video with around 2-3 speed, then skips 10-20 or maybe 30 secs entirely and start showing again with around 2-3 speed. I don't know if it's a general problem or new NTFS driver problem, because I rather use GOTO than fast forwarding. Just thought I should mention it. = Noticed that at higher speeds the fastforward/rewind at higher speeds is a bit unreliable. We will see if we can improve this.
Next problem that I could identify is with Samba. When device is freshly powered on I could access my drive connected to Mini2 from Win 7 PC without problems. Speeds are also fine - 13-15 MB/s. I've done some file management (delete, upload new etc.) - no problems here. Problems started after playing movie (720p MKV). I did a 5 minutes test play, then hit return, so it got me back to my file list in internal file manager. At this point I've connected to my HDD from my Win7 workstation using samba. File browsing is normal, but problems starts after uploading few small files or 1 bigger. Drive becomes sluggish, speed drops to 5-7 MB/s and then uploading stops. Total Commander gives me "Please remove write protection from the drive" error and cancels copy. At this point drive is no longer accessible from Windows through Samba. If I go back to Mini2, it's working until first try to access the drive. It is trying to read file list (activity circle in lower-right part of the screen), which it can't. During this I can't power down Mini2 either from button or remote, so I have to disconnect power supply. I've managed to replicate this 2 times now, using steps described above. I didn't recall this problem with earlier version of firmware (few versions back), when I was still using Samba, so this could be related to new NTFS driver. = We just copied 50GB of data from a Windows 7 laptop in the internal hard drive without issues. While copying the navigation is indeed very slow. This due to the CPU limiation. Will monitor this further.
If you need any more info, please let me know, I will be happy to help.

THZ wrote: Hello I have my Playon HD Mini2 attached to my TV and my Hifi equipment. As I often listen Internet Radio, I would like to use the Mini2 for this purpose. Therefore, a web management would be fine, as I could to start playback my desired internet radio station by accessing the web management on my computer, which is running most of the time when I'm at home. As there is no such possibility, I am forced to turn the TV on, click through the Playon's menu items until I reach the internet radio station and start playback. After that, I can turn the TV off. But everytime, the radio station stops to playback, I have to turn the TV on again, and click through Playon's menu. This isn't very comfortable for me, having to switch the TV on for listening internet radio. Couldn't you solve this with a web management? I know that the Playon HD with integrated harddisc has this feature, but I don't need an integrated harddisc, that's why I have chosen the Mini2! Hello, Thanks for the suggestion, but this has been requested and rejected previously. The DLNA is a experimental feature and not officicially supported by our products. This will not be improved that much further and for this particular request it would also be nicer to have UPnP server support, which this product does not have either. The only way you can enjoy music without actually having to use the TV / UI would be using the DLNA renderer with your Playon!HD Mini2. You have a 'How To' for this here: viewtopic.php?f=172&t=15112Then you can control and push for instance music to your player. I personally use Imediashare on my Android phone to push media, and this works with Music, Video, Movies and online streaming. Unfortunately this app does not have radio. If you have a radio app on a iOS or Android device this will then work. Or alternatively if you set up a UPnP server on you PC with a radio feature, you can then listen to radio over the DLNA renderer as well. Br,

Hello
Thank you for your explanations!
I will try your suggestion and activate DLNA in Playon and then use a Media Server, running on my computer, perhaps Twonky Manager. I will let you know later.

Hello I already tried it: DLNA is activated, I can see "Realtek embedded UPNP Render" in my network, I can choose a media file (MP3) or my desired radio station and choose "Play to" -> UPNP Render, but then I get a message in a popup that there are no media elements in this list (for the UPNP Render). I should drag and drop files there, or use the "Play to" function. How to get it to work? See the attached pic.

Hi,
apparently you need to select a file. You should also be able to drag'n'drop a file in that box. If this doesn't work you might want to remove the realtek embedded upnp device from your list and install it again.
br,

Hi
I managed to drag and drop files into this box now, by using Windows Explorer. Drag and Drop within Windows Media Player didn't work, as this box always disappeared behind the Media Player window.
And - I also had to enable "Stream own media files, music, pict ures over my home network" or something like that - my Windows is in german. Streaming files onto the Playon works now - and that's great - this is what I was looking for!! No need for a web interface anymore, for me.
But - I still cannot send a radio station to the UPNP render! I have chosen a radio station, which I can play back on WMP, and put it in a playlist. But I cannot send this playlist to the UPNP render, see pic.

I've meant how file works in samba after player has been used to play mkv movie. What I did: 1. Copy some files to the ntfs-formated drive connected to Mini2 and shared by Samba. 2. After file copy I've played some mkv 720p movie. 3. I've exited the movie by pressing "Return" on remote. 4. I've went and copy some more files to the drive through Samba. At point 4, disk was way more slower (Mini2 wasn't playing the movie at the time, so no CPU slowdowns) and after few files copying has stopped and error appeared. After that samba was not working anymore and there was no way to see the drive file list from Mini2. I had to reboot Mini2. As for Mini2 randomly changing image files to folders - I've copied some images to drive through Samba, then I've opened those images in Mini2. Then some of the images were turned into folders.

 Re: [Beta] Firmware_Playon!HD Mini2_PV73800_v9.5.5.r7716
Great - I finally got Internet Radio playback on the Mini2 (remotely through my PC) to work! After 3 hours, I found a solution: Wild Media Server. I tried WMP, Twonky and iTunes without success. But with Wild Media Server it works. That's great for me - so I really don't need any webmanagement for the Mini2! Thank you for your suggestion how to setup DNLA and UPNP on my PC!

Thanks for the exact details / steps. We have not been able to make pictures into folders though, but we noticed that that slideshow is effected by this release. Br,
