Hello,

I am using windows 7 and like to stream media to the Veolo using Twonky Media through the network. It works all fine when I access files located on the internal HDD of my computer.

However when I want to access the media located on a USB HDD attached to the computer (i.e. when I try to click the right folder after I logged onto the computer through the Veolo file explorer), the Veolo asks me again for a User Name and a Password.

I tried to key in the windows user / pw again, or leave the fields blank, but this does not work. Of course, the disk is not encrypted and has no password (otherwise I would not ask !).

I can access the attached disk seamlessly from my Samsung TV... so that must be something linked to the Veolo...

Anyone got an idea ?

Hi, please check if you have the proper sharing permission on your portable HDD. The sharing permission must be the same as what you have on the shared folder in your PC. Sorry for any inconvenience.

You were right, this was a sharing problem.

I ran some tests and it seems any folder located on an external hdd has to be shared with the administrator of the computer for it to be accessed through the Veolo. Simple... once you know it.
