Does it play 3D content? I have the Philips 55pfl7606 3D tv.

Half side-by-side movies are sent to your TV the same way as a "normal" movie. So audio etc. should be no problem as long as the codecs are supported by the player. HDMI 1.4 is not needed for that, 1.3 is sufficient for 1920x1080 HD material. For full side-by-side (3840x1080, two full HD images next to each other) you would probably need HDMI 1.4 as it supports higher bandwidth. The TV separates the two images and creates the 3D effect.
