Post Foreign covers
Hi. Could anyone help with this issue, yamj with certain movies brings back foreign movie covers instead of English ones

Try this in your moviejukebox.properties file: -

It works for me, but I also use an .nfo file for each movie

Hi AndyA

You say you use nfo with all files
What do you put into your nfos
Could you please provide me with a couple of examples
that can overcome the foreign artwork

It's all in the YAMJ Wiki - file naming and .nfo files
For a single movie one line of text is all that's needed - the URL on IMDB
This is the contents of the .nfo for Hancock

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0448157/

For a TV Series, using TheTVDB I find the XMBC XML format works better
This is the contents of the .nfo for sanctuary season 1

<tvshow>
<title>Sanctuary</title>
<id>80159</id>

</tvshow>

Box sets need the XBMC XML format as well
This is the contents of the .nfo file for one of the James Bond Films

<movie>
<id>tt0058150</id>
<sets>
<set order="3">James Bond</set>

I believe that this issue was caused by a change to TheMovieDb site (where YAMJ gets most of the covers from). They updated to allow different cover languages for the films and their old API wasn't updated to reflect this, hence why you get covers out of your language.

I have updated the API in YAMJ to the latest one for TheMovieDb and it should now work if you specify the language. If it does not, one of two things could be wrong.
1) The poster does not have a language set for it on TheMovieDb or is wrongly tagged. In which case, create an account for TheMovieDb (its free) and update the information. It's the only way it will get better!

2) I've done something wrong :) In which case I will fix it.
