Post Force close - com.android.setting after Firmware 932
After each start or restart of VEOLO with Firmware 932 the android.setting crashes after the start page comes. It says following:

The application Setting (process com.android.setting) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.

After clicking "Force close" I can work with the device. But sometimes it happens nothing. I cannot move the mousepointer or press Enter button on remote. The message doesnt go away. Then I have to plug off the power cable and plug in again.

Another issue is that Google Play says to the apps I used before (YouTube, Angry Birds etc.) that they are not compatible with VEOLO.

Any idea?

Hi both, please try to re-download again the latest software for your player and reinstall it. We did include few changes on the new firmware 932, hope you can try it out. If it still does not resolve the error message, i suggest that you use the "restore to default" option and try again. Sorry for any inconvenience.

I forgot to mention, but I have done several "restore to default" already without success. Ok, I will now re-download the firmware and try it again.

Thank you for understanding. But if in case the message keeps showing after reinstalling the firmware and by restoring to default, then I will suggest for you to contact your vendor for you to know how to get a replacement.

Just got the same issue, first only force close message coming up in every 5 sec or so and after few reboots the unit not responding at all. Just flashed firmware again from usb stick and it reboots with the same force close message again and is unresponsive.

Any ideas what do next apart from take a day off and return it to the shop ?

Re-flash firmware again. After reboot got two error messages and the unit is still not responding to any button in remote although my news widgets are running in background and updating.

First error message:

Quote:
Sorry!

The application Android keyboard (process com.android.inputmethod.latin) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.

Force Close

Second error message:

Quote:
Sorry!

The application Settings (process com.android.setting) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.

Force Close

What to do, tried to update firmware from usb (power on holding the power button down) twice and still nothing....

After few firmware updates and reboots it's responding to remote again.

However firmware update or factory reset not working. Goes thru the process but nothing happens. Settings and applications etc are still there and the errors still there.

Unbelievable how bad this product is. Someone please, write a custom rom...

I also getting really upset of this device. I get this error message every day. Now the Network connection is getting lost everytime etc.

The firmware updates for the most important issues are still missing. We are waiting quite too long for it. This is not ok.
