 More Upnp problems.
Ok so i have now sorted my playon from not bein able to shut down with some very kind help from duivels.
Now i have a new problem. my upnp is working...but not with my imac. which seeing as this is the only device i really use the upnp for then this is annoying. my ipad works and my flat mates can access it but my imac cant. I have tried turning the firewall off and reinstalling xbmc but still nothing.
I don't want to move to samba because my flat mates then steal my media and aren't trusted enough not to delete things as they have no idea what they are doing.
any ideas?

Did you check the Apple section?

 Re: More Upnp problems.
If it worked until a few days ago, you should verify any changes you made to your iMac since that time. Any new software updates? Any settings changed? Otherwise try the NFS option, see http://www.acryan.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=173&t=15024

 Re: More Upnp problems.
Yeah there hasnt been any updates or anything installed. We had a power cut then it stopped working but it still works on every other machine. I will look into the NFS, Thanks

 Re: More Upnp problems.
No (configuration) files corrupted by the power cut? The Playon's system files (in flash memory) may have been corrupted by the power cut as well. Try to reinstall the firmware.
Computers (in general) do not like black outs and brown outs.

 Re: More Upnp problems.
The playon seems to work fine with every other machine in the house.
And i did a reinstall of OS lion as i thought this would fix any issues...but its still the same :S its really infuriating

I am sorry, but I am not a Mac user and I cannot help further.
