I want to make a copy from my usb stick (16GB) and its a large file. like a movie dvd about 4,7 GB its partly cut into bits of 1,2 or 1.3 GB in total a complete dvd.
When i do this the mediaplayer stops te copy command and reboots on its own..

i realy dislike this is there a solution to my problem let me know...

Which format is the stick ?

Exfat ntfs ext3 ?

Where do you want to copy the file(s) to?
How do you copy the file(s)?
Why do you have your file in bits and chunks?

theformat is FAT32 or NTFS

the chunks are nature to dvd rip progs so thats not a problem..

why a big or a small file gets a reboot i don't know...

Could be a incompatibility with your stick

Do you have another stick to test with ?

I have put in multiple USB stick's and even a external HD with fast connection E-Sata and a slow version IDE all connected by USB but still having trouble with the larger files..

This weekend i have copyed a large amount of small files, no problem what so ever... but still the video files are not going like they should...

when i connect the media player to a computer trough usb (slave) then no problem... all goes well...

Maybe the firmware needs an update for this problem. i think that the memory is filling up to fast with the data that needs to be copy'd maybe a function for large file transfer optional in a menu ???

I experience the same problem. I use an external WD320gb usb drive which I use very often to transfer files to the Playon HD2.
Since I updated my decive to the latest firmware this problem occurs.
When I connect the Playon to my laptop using the USB cable and transfer files it's no problem.
Very annoying!

Do you copy using the Playonhd menu ?

reading your MSG... and yes i use the internal menu.

seems to more people experience the same problem... maybe a supporter from the
machine itself can help ?

another official firmware purhaps ??

I am dutch to but since this is the international part of the forum i talk english.

There i a bug in the fw when copying using the menu

You can try to copy over the network using your pc or connect it with usb to your pc and then copy the files.

The bug is reported but not resolved yet.
