 Second HDD Hey everyone.
Just about completely filled my playon hd2 2tb hdd now, and i do have another 2tb drive lying around, from a research project. anyone got any tips on how to attach this second hdd? I stream my media via upnp so attaching the drive via usb may be too slow?
Hope someone can help me out.

Nice to see you on the forum again.
USB is faster than the network, so do not worry about playing from a USB drive. Just Google for a USB drive enclosure and connect your spare drive via USB to your Playon.

Re: Second HDD Hi Duivels thanks for the reply, yes its been quite a while now.
I need to connect via network as its been used by 6 different computers and an ipad. would the USB connection between the hdd and the playon still send over the network? and would it be fast enough to stream?

Re: Second HDD A USB drive (attached to the Playon of course) is treated just like the internal hard disk.

Can you attach it via the usb 3.0 port or do you have to use a 2.0 port?

Re: Second HDD You must use one of the USB 2 ports. These are masters. The USB 3 port is a slave port.

Re: Second HDD Just to let anyone know who was reading this thread... Connecting a usb drive works perfectly over upnp. very happy with the results. my playon is now 4tb instead of 2tb. Now i wont have to delete anything.
