The software on the mini1 and the hd1 (Gui 2.0/sdk 4) is a bit slower yes.
Ac Ryan tried to give hd1 users the benefits of the sdk 4 options
New look Youtube etc etc
This also came with all kind of other problems.
If you really dislike the new gui just downgrade to a sdk 3,.x firmware and keep using that.
