When will the DLNA-Media-Renderer-Problem be solved?
Works fine with movies and music, but always crashes with JPGs.

i'm extremely disgusted by ALL the firmware releases of the Mini2.

When I first bought the player 1 year ago, i already lodged a complaint - saying that the mini2 LAGS when playing HDSLR footage ( from my Canon 550D ). Till now, NOTHING HAS CHANGED!

Let me reiterate my point again - these high bitrate files have nothing to do with hardware support - my mini1 could play ANYTHING i throw at it. the mini2 just screws up big time.

Here is the media info again :

I also encounter NEW PROBLEMS. Sometimes, videos would just play WITHOUT SOUND and the only way i can get it back is to restart the whole damned player.

PLEASE do something, for goodness' sake.

You woukld be better of spending your time whinging at Canon about the B/S standards they are recording at or running the files through a decent transcoder such as Handbrake.

I am at a loss why you should automatically assume that AC Ryan should support your Canon. I have seen the same problem on a multitude of media players and the answer is to do as I have said above.

if you did read my post properly, the mini1 SUPPORTS those files FLAWLESSLY.

Device has problems playing movies with 24.0 fps. 23.976 works flawlessly, 24.0 fps has visible micro studders.

Okay, 23.976 is more typical, but especially european productions (like "The Transporter", "Baden Meinhoff" etc.) ans even some Hollywood productions ("Stargate") are using 24.0 fps.

I haven't noticed any unusual micro studders with 24 fps movies besides the normal micro studders, which are always observed during the playback of progressive 24 fps material. 24 fps will never give you a perfect viewing experience, since it's only 24 fps... thats a fact.
You can minimize such studders with alot of different optimization options a normal LCD display has nowadays. But than you'll have to deal with the "soap effect" which IMHO is even worse than small micro studders.
If you want to have studder free movies, buy 25 or 30 fps interleaced DVDs.

I don't know about the 23.976 vs 24fps issue, but all my Blu-Ray's play fine at 24fps. Have you got 24fps enabled, and a 24fps capable TV?

There is a problem playing 30fps Blu-Ray's when 24fps is enabled, but you can get around that by using the TV System button on the AC Ryan remote.

terrible support.

Im not talking about the normal studders because of to less frames (24 fps) instead of the 50 from TV productions. I'm only talking about the fact, that one can see micro-studders all about 42 seconds, because the unit handels 24.000 fps as 23.976 fps: so all 23.976/40.000 seconds one frame is missing and that is the studder wich is visible in scenes with moving camera.

For details on this have a detailed look at wikipedia.
