I have a Mini2 and if I select to use my own font from the Resource folder, then the unit will reboot when I shut it down. As soon as I change it back to the default system font, then the unit shuts down without any issue. Have tried with 4 different fonts (both TrueType and ClearType) but same "reboot when shut down" problem with all of them. Thanks! This seemed to work. Now the device does shut down when I set the Font back to the original system font. Good to hear you got it to work. But please note that there are other users which do not experience this "reboot when shut down" problem even if they use their own font from the Resource folder. I wonder if ACR staff can comment on this?

The only problem I came across is a very weird one; I can't power the unit down?! Everytime I choose to power it off, the white led dims all the way to dark and normally the red led should turn on. But now, when the white led dims to dark, it goes back on! No mather what options I have set in the settings menu. Solutions anyone? Same problem here! The new firmware is excellent so far (for me), but this is really annoying. Happens with both the remote and the player power-button off. Didn't have this problem before, only after I updated to the latest firmware (couple of hours ago). For now I just disconnected the power cable, but I hope there's going to be a solution for it.. Or some advice on how to stop the device from rebooting while it should shut down. Thanks You still can use your own fonts and just eject the HDD before shutting down. But it is good to know the bug goes with a custom font. So another bug for the list...

ericmotor wrote: I installed the new firmware but my previous problem still exist. When i return watching the movie after pause mode, all sounds are gone. The amplifier gives signal indication for DDS 5.1, so the problem is probably in the media box. To solve the problem i have to open the setup menu of the mediabox. Go to audio settings --> SPDIF aux is Passthrough.(DDS 5.1) I have to change --> SPDIF aux to LPCM (stereo) and play few sec in stereo, then open audio settings again, change the SPDIF aux back from LPCM to Passthrough, return to the movie to be able to play in DDS 5.1 again.
TV(Pioneer) signal goes by HDMI and audio signal by coaxial to the amplifier (Marantz 6300)
Anyone else with the same problem? or with a solution?
Kind regard Eric. I have almost the same problem, when I pause the movie and start again the sound is gone. It takes about 30++ seconds for the sound to come back. I have passtrough in audio settings. When I test it with HDMI to the tv (tv speakers) the audio comes back right away. The problem is also when I start movies, then it takes maybe 6-7 seconds for sound to play. Is there a solution for this problem? Regards Lars K

the previous beta fixed all of my problems. So there was no real need to update. i updated and all seems to work the same but now i also have the same odd power problem : i noticed my drive was still active and the device too. the led was dark however and not red. i do not understand that a basic function like on/off is not tested before release? Hope for a quick fix since this is annoying.

They should have tested that. I really don't like the standard Arial font. The resolution of it is not as high as the Arial font used in Windows for example. So I use that. I hope they've put it on the buglist though. Haven't read any comment on this bug from anyone from AcRyan...

If you are willing and able to unpack and repack the firmware, you can change the default font. The default font is /usr/local/bin/Resource/arialuni.ttf which I exchanged for Bitstream Zurich Condensed Bold without renaming the file. The file still has the name arialuni.ttf, but the font is no longer Arial (which indeed is not the standard Windows Arial).

i do not use custom fonts. Or do you mean that i get this problem because i use the default stand font? And this is related to the power off problem? I am confused

 Re: [Official] Firmware_Playon!HD2_PV73700_v9.5.3.r7317
The power off problem is caused by using a custom font. So if you change the default font to a font of your choice and do not use a custom font from your hard disk, the shut down problem no longer exists.

But... i never used a custom font! I have only one font named 'default font' and that is what i have selected.
