Here is the cyber rescue.
And formatting your USB stick between firmware updates certainly does no harm.

Can't find the answer so I dare to ask the question ;) Just have this MiniHD (1) and installed this firmware. Works like a charm but in the old firmware I saw RSS feeds and I do not see it anymore. Is there a simple way to get RSS feeds to work so I can see the feeds of some sites?

I think that the RSS feeds disappeared with the new GUI (firmware 3966 and later), but I did not really pay attention, as I never got the only one I wanted to work and was too lazy to investigate why.

Was already going for that ;)

So from 7.0.21.r3875 (safe flash)
via 7.3.6.r3582 (system flash according to the .pdf)
to 7.4.6.r7317 (safe flash)

Good job ACRyan.
Mini is getting better and better by the time like a good wine! :D

One + that acryan has is that the menu is also in greek language (and other languages of course) that even new players from other companies don't include as a feature.

One feature for me that will give a lot of points in the player and the GUI 2 is to include a browser like Opera if of course it is possible.

I have Mini 1 one year+ and I never regretted my purchase.
Again good job ACRyan.

As I only usually need to turn samba on to transfer files to/from the mini occasionally, I've added the path to the samba start/stop script to the profile: -

- Use Vi to edit /etc/profile
- After the second pathmunge command add the following three lines:-

#add samba script directory to the path
PATH=$PATH:/sbin/package/script
export PATH

Then when logged in as root you can use the command samba followed by either start or stop as needed, without having to use the GUI to turn it on / off to transfer a few files

Hi Andy,

pathmunge is a subroutine that adds the first argument to the PATH environment variable.
If there is only one argument, the existing PATH is concatenated to the argument.
If the second argument is after, the argument is concatenated to the existing PATH.

So your three lines may be replaced by:
    pathmunge /sbin/package/script after

Your export PATH command is redundant, because a couple of lines down the command
    export PATH HOSTNAME HISTSIZE TERM
is given.

So this is sufficient:
Quote:
.
.
.
# Path manipulation
if [ `id -u` = 0 ]; then
    pathmunge /sbin
    pathmunge /usr/sbin
    pathmunge /usr/local/sbin
fi

pathmunge /usr/local/bin
pathmunge /sbin/package/script after

# No core files by default
.
.
.

Is there anybody who can test DLNA? In case I try to "send" a picture to ACRYAN from Android phone, than ACRYAN restarts. There were no problems with previous FW.

Thank you for your help.

Moderator edit: your question is also clear without color and bold type.

@condor:
DLNA works for me when using Windows Media Player from my PC. I do not have an Android phone (only a very old Nokia), so I cannot test your specific problem.

@AndyA
Linux is not my first language either, but with Steffen's and your help I am learning fast. I had some HP-UX (Unix) experience from the 1980's, which also helps.

Hello,

I downloaded the latest version of YAMJ (V 2.0 64 bits of 08/16/2011) on your site and I recreated a new folder Jukebox in the partition that store my movies.

When I try to run the jukebox on the Playon!HD Mini one (firmware 7317), I can go up to the screen that offers me to recreate the jukebox and a few seconds after I click on OK the mini freezes always and I have to cut the power to restart it. :dremel:

What should I do? Nevertheless YAMJ was working fine with the older version 5440 ...

Hi,

I am not sure if you undarstand me. WMP on PC doesn not push any media to DLNA device. It only get access to media to any DLNA player. In this case you browse by ACRYANY in your computer.

But I mean, the case, when you choose some video or picture or audio on your PC, phone and etc and you "send" to ACRYAN to let him to show it.
