Hi Everybody.

I've got a problem, I hope you guys can help me solve? My setup consists of a AC Ryan HD Mini2, Synology DS211 NAS and a desktop windows PC. Each fixture is connected via ethernet cable to my gigabit router (Asus RT-n56u).

My problem revolves around my PC losing connection to NAS, when the AC Ryan is switched on. It simply disappears from my network devices, no problem when the AC Ryan is switched off. The strange bit is, that it is still visible under mediaunits(When ACR is switched on), but not under computers(where you can actually work in the filesystem). This is a big problem, because my girlfriend often uses the ACR, when I'm using my computer, and this means I can't access the files on the NAS through windows. The DSM browser interface is still to limited in use.

There are no conflicting IP's, and each devices has it's own login&pass on the Synology NAS.

Does the ACR simply "steal" all of the connections?

Can you try to enable your NAS as 'Master Browser'? Usually the NAS devices have an option in their SAMBA Setup Options called 'enable Master Browser'. If that's disabled please enable it and retry it. Also make sure you use the latest firmware on your player according to this post: viewtopic.php?f=175&t=18243
