My "box" doesn't saw new firmware on USB stick.
I tried to use another one - the same story..
I used "Panasonic SD Formater" and "box" was successfully updated via "System Update Method".
Unfortunately "Safe-Mode Method" still not working...

P.S. By the way, Windows 7 standart format utility doesn't helped me.
I guess only after "Panasonic SD Formatter" new firmware was recognized on USB.

Yes confirming that the Movie jukebox did not work for me on this update.
Scan for the index asked if it's the first time i confirm yes first time than the unit shuts down I restart than do the same than it's same think, third time i said no it's not the first time than no think will happing just displays the tables without the info’s.
PS: worked perfect on the older version: [BETA] firmware version r3643 + YAMJ 6th Release

For: Ukraine User
To do the updates you have to:
1- Unplug the unit from the power
2- Put the install fw file in the root of your usb
3- Put your usb in the unit
4- Press and hold the power button on the front of the unit
5- Switch the power back on
6- wait about 5 seconds than release the power button
7- The updates should start after like 3 seconds from that.

Is it possible to make the unit read the USB drives by names not just letters.
In the older version it displays the USB HD by name: like : western 500 GB
My book 1 TB
and now it only say: C:
D:
Also files copies other the network it stops the transfer after like 7 or 8 % every time. It worked perfect before.
Thank you, hope you guys fix some of the issues.
Good work.

To speed up the box with firmware 7317 try Steffen's swap mount.

This had opposite affect on my pohd, it slowed down the UI and all interactive operations. I disabled it a everything was back to normal

Did anyone had same issue?

@Everyone

Update - 08-02-2012: We have replaced this firmware v7.4.x.r7317 with a new revision that fixes the Thumbnail view (distorted image) issue, so you can view your folders with 'Thumbnail view'. If you with your remote control go to 'Setup > Misc > Version info' and check the 'Compiled at' date. If it does not say: Feb 07 - 2012 - you will not have the updated version. Simply re-download and flash this firmware again to have this fixed.

Thanks to our development team for this quick fix!

Thanks Mikael,

But one small remark on the version number: Wouldn't it be better to call the fixed version r7318 or so?

Yes, and no.

It would have taken longer time and complicate things if we would have released another version number for this quick, but important fix. The revision number usually comes from Realtek SDK progress.. In this case we could fix this rather annoying issue without touching anything else, so there was no progress in other parts of firmware.

As this issue was a general / reproduce able issue on all our platforms we decided that a quick fix / replacement would be the quickest way to do this.

Hello,

I know that the YAMJ developer is working together with one of our developers to release a new AC Ryan - YAMJ installation up to date with this firmware and the newest YAMJ version.

So a new version will be coming for sure, but not sure what this will include yet!
