Post Re: [Official] Firmware_PV73100_v7.4.x.r7317
My movie jukebox will not load in the player. The index.html file will load fine in the browser on my PC.
I have tried every combination of YAMJ, MediaInfo, etc. – to no avail.
I have rebuilt the jukebox about 20 times already.

It was working before I installed Firmware Firmware v7.4.4.r7317.

ACR-PV73100 Playon!HD
Firmware v7.4.4.r7317 - European Edition

YAMJ GUI Config (ACR) v2.0
YAMJ 2.6-SNAPSHOT
Revision: r2924

moviejukebox.properties file:
# This is the skin property, you will need to change this if you want to change the look of YAMJ
mjb.skin.dir=./skins/default

# Some example properties that you may want to enable

# Multi threading properties. Remove the # at the start of the line to enable them
mjb.MaxThreadsProcess=8
mjb.MaxThreadsDownload=15

# Add other properties here
mjb.PlayOnHD=true

And try again

It worked. Thank you. Normal update through the menu still didn't work, but save mode did.
I will test the firmware.
First result; scan harddisk for errors makes the device hang.

Oh my, what to do.. i have absolutely nothing to complain about :think:
Well, maybe that when i tried to install the new firmware the player didn't recognise it as a new firmware (i was running r5485)
Only way to install it was a safe flash (while booting the player) but since then it worked ok.

Networkspeeds aren't very fast, only 1,41MB/s but it used to be 1,2MB/s (only after a boot the speeds are +/- 4MB/s, just like the old firmwares)
So far no samba crashes, except losing speed after a day or so.
The player seems stable.

Keep up the good work! (and a little bit more info about releases and developments in the future would be nice, keeps the customers happy)

Tried r7317 after using Playon!X (based on sdk3 r4824) for quite a while.
Safe-Mode upgrade, redo setup then Power-off reboot.

The Good:
SPDIF audio works as passthru on everything I tried. (no more changing audio setup!)
Stability seems better, so far no more freezes and soft reboots which plagued r5440.
GUI2 appears faster than under under r5440, still slow but now usable.
HDD scan actually completes without errors (never did on r5440).

The Bad:
Network slowdown still occurs resulting in Samba lockups. I switched to FTP which works more reliably than SMB (Samba) but still is excrutiatingly slow on large transfers.
Remote control codes are often acted on twice (One button press = 2 cursor moves).

Overall I think we are moving forward again and I intend staying on this (r7317) firmware.

Now if we could only fix the network I could stop waiting for the "next" firmware as I have been doing for 2.5 years.

To speed up the box with firmware 7317 try Steffen's swap mount.

USB---->C:--->TV Shows--->

I spend about 5 seconds inside the TV Shows folders then it crashes each time....this has never happened before.

Apart from that i have no real complaints....the jukebox fixes are good, but would prefer more development on YAMJ........So we can have more diversity in the jukebox.

Wired Network seems fine

Hello,

Please check your USB-drives with your PC -> Chkdsk

If your problem persist, contact our support with details what you have done, brand of hdd, and file system used.

Hey,

We are currently checking on some YAMJ related issues, to see if we can compile a new YAMJ version for this.

However, we have tried the latest YAMJ in combination with this firmware without issues critical issues as rebooting and not starting the index.htm file.

Just to confirm that we have this working and are not experiencing the same as you or some other users with YAMJ related issues. For those who think we are not testing..

Hello,

I also updated to the latest 7.4.x.r7317.
When I scan my harddisk in the MP3 folder, my PlayonHD also coninues reboot.
I deleted the .theater folder and turned off scanning.
Everything works fine but I have no index, so I have to workt via the filebrowser.
With GUI 1 I had this problem not.
Anyway I will stay on this version.
