If I put another file next to it (like a mp3), that file is shown in the filemanager. Update: when I put the 5440 img on the USB stick, I can update from 5440 to 5440! Maybe the file is too large? Try another USB-stick Or be sure to format your USB-stick FAT32 not with the standard windows format utility but with a free of charge. Panasonic sd-formatter: http://panasonic.jp/support/global/cs/s ... index.htmlChoose for option "FULL (Erase ON)” And try again As I wrote in the update: if I place the 5440 image on the stick, the update is recognized. I think the image so too big to load into memory for some reason. But I don't know how to free some memory

@barta You clear the memory during pressing the on-/off button in the powerless status. Press that button 6 times. Have you tried another USB stick? Did you try a fresh full FAT32 format? There can be old cross-linked and unclosed files on your USB stick. During the flash the system has very limited operating features. Writing here again your conclusion does not solve your problem.

 Re: [Official] Firmware_PV73100_v7.4.x.r7317
too slow the menus and changing from one menu to another one, sometimes i press in the remote controle one time and it passes 2 submenus or menus (that should be just one each time), and the most important thing is IT STILL DOESN'T HAVE ANSI ENCODING FOR .SRT SUBTITLES when it will have? it's extremally impartant this function for me, because all downloaded subtitles are in ANSI and not in UTF-8
please: any devs, correct that, i'll be waiting because i don't think that is so hard to do (at least i think so)

A fix might come in the new SDK release at some point in the future (high priority...) but this release is so slow on the original boxes to be unworkable. Hm... I think this means those of us that thought we were buying a network media player were conned and we will never see the units operating as was intended. Or am I missing something? The unit I bought specifically becasue of its networking capability has been gathering dust now for two years excactly. Do you think there is there any chance ACR wil upgrade the units free of charge? No the old sdk 1,2 and 3 have no samba issues ONly this new sdk 4.x has samba issues. But the samba issues are only on the hd1 and mini 1 not on the dvr-hd and hd2 series. With respect, my hd1 has never sustained a reliable network connection sufficient to transfer an ISO either hardwired or wireless. If I leave one of these 5GB copies going overnight it will more often than not fail at some point (after more than an hour typically) and lock up the hd1 requiring a reboot. If I try and browse the hd1 while a copy (win drag/drop) is in progress from the pc it will almost always lock up immediately (there must be a multi-thread bug). It is impossible to watch a video while a copy is in progress. The network connections back out to the internet supporting radio etc repeatedly fail. The wireless conenction drops from time to time despite every other device in my house being rock solid for months on end. I have tried every release for the last two years and these same issues persist. Any suggestions?

That's what I suggested long time ago. Anyhow, I bought a media player which is not delivering what was promised. I just need the video playback. Wanted to have the cover, script etc. things, to repeat, as promised, but Yamj implementation is a big joke. Never ever a AC Ryan product again.I'm moving to Apple TV 2 with XBMC Theo Of course I won't buy anything from acryan either. But since we have it ... They're laughing at us, that's quite funny. Another acryan yamj package won't change anything to the bad parsing in the damn firmware. A debug file would be helpful but maybe too laughable to us seeing the ridiculous implementation that didn't change for 6 months and won't surely change ever. The general slowness could be improved if they inspect what causes the DvdPlayer running at 90%. Moreover, a user has posted a script to use the swap that allow some speed in GUI. Well, it's all about marketting in this godamn world. I'm not really blaming acryan for their incompetence in coding but more those stupid testers on some websites.

 Re: [Official] Firmware_PV73100_v7.4.x.r7317
My playon HD is nowing crashing everytime I search through my video files through the file browser function.
USB---->C:--->TV Shows--->
I spend about 5 seconds inside the TV Shows folders then it crashes each time....this has never happened before.
Apart from that i have no real complaints....the jukebox fixes are good, but would prefer more development on YAMJ........So we can have more diversity in the jukebox.
Wired Network seems fine

Hi!
The only problem I've found is when I pause a movie, I cannot resume it. it seems the player hangs and takes 5/10 minutes to allow me to exit.

 Re: [Official] Firmware_PV73100_v7.4.x.r7317
Hi Arne, Thanks for the reply. I know that this issue has been raised earlier. But it's one of the wifi implementations. I understand that ACRyan depends on the realtek SDK, but then ACRyan chooses for the "looks" of the GUI above function. And that i don't understand. So i'm stuck with a device that has some bugs and there will never be a solution, because ACRyan wants the GUI2.0 for an old chipset that is frankly too slow to run the gui2.0(/sdk4). But all to keep the user happy.. ??.. Well I don't give a D@## about the GUI. So old device..old SDK and just fix the bugs of fw based on that one. Sorry for the "negative"reply. For now i use an old firmware because of the network (speed) issues + GUI issues with the new firmware. And personaly i don't want to change the way my WLAN is accesible. But there must be a fw that ACRyan prefere the users to use on (eg) a 1073DD based device? I doubt that would be one of the SDK4 fw's? @Kraakie: maybe offtopic for your opinion. But pls it's just one reply to another reply. If necessary i'll go PM. Thanks! Pascal Arne wrote: -pascal- wrote: Hi Mikael, wasn't in the changelog and it's not working with this fw also. Are developers still working on how to connect the PV73100 to a WLAN with hidden SSID using "infrastructure"? And thus manualy configure WLAN(and/or LAN) settings? thanks! br Pascal This issue has been raised previously but apparently this will not be possible to implement in the SDK - so No, hidden SSID's and Static IP's will only work on previous SDK3 firmwares. best regards,

what r you doing the whoule day long? (got pohd, like 3 weeks and i luv to trow it outta window, or just give it back)
